Looks like the vikings will be without their top two centers or whatever because of injury. so Jon Cooper will start at center for them.
Ratliff this is your time to shiine.
Vikings center John Sullivan is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Dallas because of a lingering calf injury, meaning Jon Cooper likely will get the start.
If that happens, Cooper will be the third center to start for the Vikings in the first five games. Ryan Cook started Monday's game against the New York Jets in place of Sullivan, but he was replaced by Cooper in the second half.
The offense functioned better in the second half, and the coaching staff liked the way Cooper handled the line calls and directed blocking assignments.
"He did a pretty nice job, held his own," offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said. "The most important thing for us is that the center directs a lot of the show. I feel confident with Cooper. He does a great job, he's scrappy, he's tough. He's going to fight each and every play. I'm excited about him."
The revolving door at center is far from ideal in terms of continuity however. Sullivan missed almost all of training camp because of a calf injury, returned and started the first three games and then injured his other calf on the first play against Detroit.
"It stinks," Sullivan said. "But at the same time getting negative and not having a positive attitude just isn't the way to go about getting better. So I'm in here in the training room and getting back out there at practice, trying to do what I can for right now. We'll get back out there eventually."
