Sorry if this is a re-post (please delete if so). Apparently Childress gave the Vikings all of last week off to rest. Surprised it hasnt been a much bigger story in the media. We all know it would of been if Wade had done this.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -The Minnesota Vikings have a bye for the first round of the playoffs. Their plan now is to rest.

Coach Brad Childress said Monday he has given the players the entire week off. Practice will resume Sunday, and the Vikings will host a divisional round game the following Sunday, Jan. 17.

After losing three of four games in December, the Vikings got back on track with a 44-7 victory over the New York Giants on Sunday. Childress says he's not concerned about losing the rhythm gained from that game.

The coach says he's confident in the leadership and chemistry of the team, and he is more focused on allowing players extra time to heal.

If they lose it will be a big deal... but only in Minnesota... no one cares about the Vikings outside of Minnesota.

They should of just stayed on vacation.

I dont see how you can maintain a high level of execution with a full week off. Hopefully it comes back to bite them in the butt.

Entire week does seem a bit much. I think the vikes did have some players who needed that time off but you would think that they would have at least had a few days last week working on their base offense and defense even if they were unsure of who they played.

Hehehe, everybody loves vacation :D

Dallas Cowboys Travel agency is coming to town this weekend to help the Vikes out

I read where one of our DFW reporters asked Brad Childress if any of his players took time off in Mexico with Jessica Simpson. I kid you not. The team is playing this well, and our beloved media choose to dwell on 2 years ago.

I really dislike our media.

Earlier today I was watching Romo answering questions from the media. Someone asked his opinion of the Vikes taking the whole week off. I honestly can't remember Romo's repsonse because he gave a good, boring, non-informative coach-speak answer.

He's been doing that a lot lately.

I think the first question is by Steve Dennis. He is such a putz.

I think it is Dennis again at the 1:45 mark asking the question you reference.

Brad Childress has never won a playoff game.

This game is making me nervous. All the Commanders, Eagles, and Giants fans want us to fall really really badly. I have to get away from the East Coast, and the amount of venom these fanbases spew against the Cowboys.

I agree as well. It's like they'll do nothing to stop themselves from jumping to the other side.

However, I have to give credit where credit is due.

Did you see "Around the League" Tuesday on NFL Network? Clearance Hill from the Star-Telegram and some hack from the Star Ledger in Minnesota were sparring about the Cowboys versus the Vikings. Hill brought up some good statistics and points. I was shocked to see one of our guys taking up for us.

Brad Childress was on Sirius last week prior to the wild card round and he mentioned that he was giving the team the week off. The host Chris Russo then asked him if his players could do anything they want. Childress' response was "yea, they can do the Tony Romo Cabo trip if they want. Umm, maybe I should'nt have said that."

Yes, he is a putz. I don't like too many guys in the Dallas media. The one I actually do like, Dale Hansen is widely unpopular here. I think the brings up good points even if some of them are not popular. The other guys are just lazy hacks that try too hard to be funny and do little research. They have that tabloid mentality, which I hate.
