Vikings sign FB Tony Richardson

ESPN radio reported that the Vikings signed Tony Richardson today. He is a very good fullback and was a key in the Chiefs running game.

Yep. He would have been really nice to have. Good sign for the Vikes IMO.

He is a little old(35), so I am not disappointed. I think he is from Minnesota or near by and wanted to be close to home. He started out a Cowboy, but didn't make it in Dallas.

Richardson was the guy that came out of the game the play before Fugita forced Green to fumble, turning that game around. He's a good player. I guess it goes to show that even a good FB is not considered important enough to pay much to. Sowell is another good FB that good released for just a small cap savings. If we want an upgrade there will be good choices in the 7th round or from undrafted FA's.
