If the vikings lose again and go 1-5 we need to call and talk a trade to get Allen and Kevin Williams. Both will be free agents next year so we could get both for cheap.

Can we stop with stuff like this. This team needs more than a couple of patches, on a defense full of patches. Need to focus on defense in the 2014 draft instead.

I think Starks and Soliai from the Dolphins are both going to be free agents too. Let's see if we can snag em both for a 5th and I'm not talking about a pick

And who and/or what are we going to trade for these guys?

I wonder if we could trade the Vikings Herschel Walker again? I mean, didn't they just pick up josh Freeman? They don't get it.

Cheap? What exactly do you think would be cheap?

You're going to give up something for two guys who you may, or may not, be able to or want to sign beyond this year. This would be a pretty high risk unless you're absolutely certain that these additions assure you a spot in the Superbowl THIS SEASON.

Actually, I dont think its a bad idea. Them signing Freeman means they want a better passing game...so maybe you package Miles and a pick for one of those guys, and then just don't resign them. There really are no young guys whose progress you'd be stunting, so why not let them play for a year. This team is still in first place in the division, so if you can try to make a run without mortgaging your future, why not?

I'd like to package Miles.;)

This actually isn't a terrible idea in terms of the fact that you're trading for players with an expiring contract for a position of need and where it'd be logical for the team to deal them. It's similar to how the Patriots traded for Talib last season. Our problem is that "add a veteran contract" money went to Waters already.
