Minnesota also had an onside kick that they recovered. They haven't pass blocked very well this drive and have to punt now.

Eagles hadn't done anything up until the Vikings tried to cover the eagles slot reciever(Greg something)with a linebacker and the eagles get to the Vikings 19. Westbrook has been ineffective versus the Vikings run defense. Schobel just got them first and goal at the two.

Update: Eagles forced to kick a fg. 7-3 Minnesota lead.

McNabb looks old
Donovan McNabb looks nothing like the dude that made that unforgettable, make-a-bunch-of-guys-miss-and-run-all-over-the-place-and-throw-deep play against the Cowboys on Monday night a few years ago.

McNabb can still pick a secondary apart if you give him time in the pocket. He threw a beautiful ball to slot receiver Greg Lewis on a seam route a few minutes ago to get the Eagles in scoring position.

But opponents no longer have to worry about McNabb making plays with his feet. The Eagles called rollouts on second and third down near the goal line, and McNabb looked sluggish before throwing incompletions on both plays. Philly settled for a field goal.

What's this all mean for the Cowboys? DeMarcus Ware, Greg Ellis and Co. can pin their ears back on passing downs without worrying about McNabb making plays out of the pocket.

And the Eagles will either have a terrible player (Winston Justice) or dude with a broken tailbone (Jon Runyan) at right tackle. I'll bet Wade Phillips, with two weeks to think about it, can figure out a few ways to exploit that problem.

With 2:19 left in the 2nd quarter: McNabb has 193 yards passing, more than any other QB at this point today. Westbrook just scored, and it is 17-7 Eagles. Minnesota has gotten 39 yards out of Peterson and has less than 100 total offense.

Minnesota will need some scoring from the defense to win this game.

The vikings got away with obvious holding last week, but this week when they get a big run play the refs call the TE for a hold and it looked like a terrible call to me.
