i watched a replay saturday night so dunno if it was this way in the original airing...but...

after lagertha "got her revenge" on the dude with the bolt in his neck - did it swap to an "erectile dysfunction" commercial for anyone else?

I think they also set the stage for that with the opening scene and Ragnar's reaction to not getting through the gates, as well as Ragnar answering with "unfortunately" to a comment made to him about being back among the living.

Trying to soften the blow a bit for fans who may not see the inevitable coming.

I watched season 1. Then I just lost track of when it was coming back and all that. Also, I can't seem to find it online to stream. I'm not trying to buy each season for like 40 bucks.

I've watched the show since the first episode and have surprisingly enjoyed the series. With that said, I am lost at where the show is going.

Bjorn leaves to live in the wild

Legetha becomes co-earl and has moved on from Ragnar

Princess aslog (sp?) is slowly betraying Ragnar

Rollo betrayed Ragnar (again) and is a French noble

Floki is spared his life

King eckbert hooks up with his daughter in-law and makes her his side chick

The queen of Mercia (forget her name) gets over thrown and is nearly killed but saved by King eckbert's son. He then hooks up with her after his dad did.

Bjorn is going out to become a man. He will make his way back later.
Sure he has been in many battles at this point but he wants to go out and prove to his father that he is a man and can make it on his own if need be.

Legetha is a woman who was not going to stay in a relationship with Ragnar after he came back with another woman with his child in her. Ragnar has moved on, Legetha has moved on.

Rollo has to be his own man and in real life he becomes a ruler

Ragnar spared Floki because he found out Floki's daughter died and Floki's wife is still there for him but at the end Athelstan's ghost visited him and said mercy mercy mercy...he took that to mean mercy for Floki.

The daughter in law is not a woman to be trusted...she had relations with Athelstan and now her father in law by her own will.

The Son knows his wife is not a good woman. I imagine he figures if she can stray, so can he.
