Villanova, PA (Sports Network) - Villanova seniors Ben Ijalana and Matt Szczur have been selected to play in the 2011 Under Armour Senior Bowl, the university announced on Wednesday. The college all-star game will be held Jan. 29 in Mobile, Ala.

Ijalana, a 6-foot-4, 320-pound offensive tackle, and Szczur, a 5-11, 205-pound wide receiver and return specialist, are nominees for the Walter Payton Award, sponsored by Fathead.com.

Ijalana has started every game of his four-year career - 45 games in all. Likely to play offensive guard in the NFL, it is projected that Ijalana will be the first Football Championship Subdivision player to be selected in the 2011 draft.

Szczur, who has missed nearly three games with a high ankle sprain, was voted the Most Valuable Player in Villanova's 23-21 win over Montana in the 2009 FCS championship game. A potential NFL draft choice who is compared to Wes Welker of the New England Patriots, Szczur signed with the Chicago Cubs after being selected in the fifth round of the 2010 MLB Draft.

and I think we will need a third WR

considering we will drop RW at the end of the year

I would have said the same thing before the season. Now, Roy may be playing decent enough that they keep him around. Depends on how the rest of the season goes.

However, there is still a need for a guy like Szczur. He can play specials. He can return. Wildcat QB. RB. Slot WR. A do everything, team first guy would be a welcome addition.

Drafted by the Cubs, so he might play baseball though.
