Especially at this time how did a Cowboys fan like yourself deal with having a friend as a Steelers fan! I live in Packers country and that's hard enough being friends with all Packer fans. Couldn't imagine being friends with a STEELERS fan.
It was tough at times because we both loved to gloat when our teams did well back then :D His birthday and mine were a day apart and I can remember we both showed up at school wearing our new team gear the same day which did not go over well :) We got over it soon enough though. I already knew he was a Steelers fan but he never really talked about it, but that all changed when he got his jacket.

Awesome commercials! I like the one of Jimmy driving to the Super Bowl and leaving Jerry behind. I guess they made that one while the two of them could still laugh at each other.

Also, the old-timers may remember this: during the Tom Landry Show of the 60s and 70s, there was one commercial that always got my attention: a cute girl would ask, "Don't have an oil well? Well, GET ONE -- you'll LOVE doing business with Western!". Western was a sponsor and I think was an oil well services firm.

"Don't have an oil well?" proved very ironic for Tom, didn't it, Goodwin. :(
