I don't understand this thread.:
Songs that are awesome but might be unknown to the casual fan (kind of hard in the case of the Beatles....)

Your original title didn't make sense.

Remind me what it was? Wasn't it 'great songs that you won't necessarily find on the greatest hits album' or something to that effect?

I don't remember what it was exactly. I just remember being confused like masomenos.

Whatever. I think the current title is a little bizarre. I would hardly say any of the listed songs are unknown.

Anyways props to Abebeta (what happened to 'Abersonc'?) I knew I could count on him for a choice song.

One Hit To The Body. Interesting choice! Can't say I disagree with that. As for Van Halen, Drop Dead Legs is another underappreciated gem.

Props to AbeBeta for uncovering Sunset Rubdown (I forget which music thread it was) for me.

Any other suggestions?

Handsome Furs is great if you like Rubdown -- you add those two bands together and you get Wolf Parade (literally, those are both Wolf Parade side projects).

I'm loving Deerhunter, The Walkmen, Okervill River, TV on the Radio, Fleet Foxes, and Broken Social Scene a ton right now.
