Regarding DeMarco, does anyone care to revisit the original thread where we discussed vision and how Demarco has what Felix lacks? DeMarco is only going to get better. Three down back... It's rare to get that in the mid to later rounds.

Are we still through with the oline? or do some of you perhaps actually see a young group of guys that's continuously improving every single week? They're coming together folks. There's nothing wrong with believing in it... I think Romo enjoyed one of his most comfortable games in the pocket this year. Even when he had to scramble out of the pocket, it wasn't because someone was beating a path to him. It was because the pocket will naturally shrink with every growing second. When he had to scramble, he still had room to do so. I would still like to see Costa get a little more stout at the Center position but, overall, he and the rest of that young oline put in a lunchpail day.

Romo... This guy has got to be one of the happiest guys in the world right now. In the past, every new offensive series brought thoughts that he would have to somehow don a superman cape and rescue them from multiple long distance downs due to a total lack of anything resembling a consistent running game. Fast forward to the past few weeks... Now he steps on the field with a more relaxed mindset that actually allows him to meticulously move the offense down the field. He has gone from desperate game saver (a role he didn't play very well) to very competent game general with a wonderfully consistent running game to compliment him. This guy has got to be tickled pink right now.

Sean Lee & Bruce Carter.. We need Lee back pronto. I saw the RB run to Brooking today, pivot, down a shot of expresso, chomp on an energy bar, wash his hands, and then go on to run right by Brooking. Brooking's body was unable to do what I would assume his mind wanted to do. Get well Sean Lee!!! Bruce Carter was in beast mode for the for the few times he got to see the field. He almost had that INT! The guy has great instints! He and Lee on the field together is going to be a real sight to see folks.

My boi Oscan appears to no longer have any critics on the board. That's a beautiful thing.

When we get down inside the 5, we have got to make that into 6. The repititious FGs are going to come back to haunt us later in the season if we don't fix that over the next several weeks.

Jesse Holley might want to be very careful out there on the field. When you're that far down the depth chart, there's no room to make a spectacle out of things. You're not too far from meeting the waiver wire Mr. Holley. Just get out there, give it 110% and get back to the sideline.

After Realtick's reference to him in one of my previous threads, I spent some time keying in on Sean Lissmore. How's that for developmental talent? The guy holds his own very well. He looks to be a very solid growth option for the future. I guess Jerry gets no credit for that either.

Man oh man... Don't look now folks! Laurent Robinson is our most productive WRs since he was rescued from the waiver wire a month or so ago. What an amazing find! You can just tell that Romo has become very comfortable with him. Unlike Dez, he actually runs crisp routes and is where he should be which makes guys like Romo smile.

Please get it together Dez! This guy is an immensely talented player. I know patience is a virtue when thinking of Dez. I just wish he would go ahead and break out already! geez...

The slow positive uptick continues...

It certainly is great possibly having a running game that can match the passing game finally. Murray has been amazing. As for vision, I don't know if he has more than Felix. He's just a much better RB. He bursts right through openings and will run you over. Felix will dance, dance some more, then slip and fall right on his face. If he does get traction, he'll just run right into defenders.

EXCELLENT! And i mean excellent post. I agree with everything, 100%. Especially about the vision thing. This guy runs to light. If the hole is not there, he finds light.

Also, Romo had Tom Brady-type confidence out there. You know that relaxed feeling, just methodically carving the defense up.

I hear you man. He does have amazing vision though. On that run where it started out to the left and then he stopped, hit the cutback lane, and burst to the right for 7 or 8 yards.. most RBs would have been stalled on the left side behind the LOS for a 2 yard loss.

When he jukes out of the way of defenders, it is a thing a beauty.

I think two plays druing the game were very telling. The first was a simple comeback play on the outside to LR, that only gained 5-6 yards, but it didn't look like he was open. Romo through it anyway, down and away, and LR went down and got it. The other was the slant to Dez, when Seattle blitzed. Dez failed to get off the jam, and the pass was incomplete. People say you gotta just throw the ball to Dez, and let hiim beat the defender to the ball. That happens occasionally, but not very much, and it seems to often that Dez isn't doing what he needs to do to get to the spot and catch the ball.

Now that Robinson has proved he can be dangerous, I wonder once teams start game-planning him and trying to roll coverage, how he will respond to this. Once this happens, this will tell me if he's ready to be the 1, or 2.

I think that your best receivers right now are Austin, then Robinson, then Dez. But Dez is so explosive, you just don't want to take him out because when he actually has the ball in his hands, look out.

Yeah man. He's still so raw and hasn't adusted to the NFL level yet. He's close though. That hookup where he fumbled shoulda/coulda/woulda been a TD that would have had many of us flooding the board with praise right now. He has to run better routes and get on the same page with his QB. I think he will. I'm worried about Miles and his nagging hamstring. Plug a healthy Miles into this offense and it's pretty much unstoppable.

I think Felix has vision. In fact, it was apparent when he was killin' it his first few years. I do think he shuffles/pitter-patters too much.

I think DeMarco has earned the right to get the lions' share of the carries. However, let's be real, Felix was making chicken salad out of chicken scratch the first few weeks of the season.

That's right. They're going to start doing it as early as next week! You know Buffalo will be paying some special attn to Romo's new second favorite target. Robinson just looks like it doesn't matter what you do, he is going to get his. It'll definitely be interesting to see how he responds to the extra attn that he will surely receive.

So true. He is a TD waiting to happen every time he touches the ball. I do get nervous when I see him out there returning puints though. I don't care if the team is punting out of their end zone. I get nervous because I know he isn't the type of receiver that's going to see a crease and shy away from the pursuit as he makes his way to the end zone. He is looking to punch someone in the mouth on the way to the end zone. The guy just love physical play.

That's just it, Felix has never killed it or even close.

I agree. I still think Miles is the best WR on the team but, IMO, Robinson by far has played the best this season. So much so that if we had one shot at the endzone to win it, I'd want the play designed to go to Robinson.

I think he has vision. I just think there's a distinct difference between that which Felix possesses and the vision that gets DeMarco through traffic. DeMarco is a complete RB that can hit the home run. Felix is a home run hitter that will give you a good number of ugly runs while you wait for that home run. That's really nothing to build an offense around IMHO. DeMarco is wrecking the isos and falling forward practically every time he touches the ball. You can't teach that. He's consistent and exactly what Romo needs. (once again, IMHO)

OL improving every single week?

:laugh1:

Like they could have done much worse than last week.

You can give em a little credit. It's ok.

I guarantee you it won't be the same when we see the Eagles again on 12/24. Book it! ;)

they could not stink any worse then they did. But claiming that they are even decent is a joke. THis is a lot more on Murray then it is on the O line; which still gets OWNED on Short Yardage.

They aren't world beaters... (yet!)

they ain't even county beaters. And as regards the middle of the line there is serious question they can ever be more than average.

I see you haven't budged an inch. :laugh2: They're getting better every week. That's all we can ask for from a young offensive line that's playing together for their very first time. Costa was getting owned occasionally today but I chalk that up to lessons learned. Romo didn't look beat down so Costa must have been doing something relatively right.
