News: Voch - Ceedee Lamb As A WR, PR & 4th & 2

****NOT-AN-OFFICIAL-SOURCE*** -
The Dallas Cowboys Rookie WR CeeDee Lamb Quick Film Session

4th and 2 probably works if Dak gets rid of it earlier and *doesn't* throw it behind CD. I'd criticize CD for the lack of speed on the rout, but Dak's failure was larger than CD's.

Similarly, Dak threw it behind CD on the behind the LOS screen to CD.

Poor execution on both passes by Dak.

Dak needs to work on his short pass ball placement. I recall a few stalls last year like this coming out of poor short passes.

CeeDee will be very good, but I expected more from him wk 1. I know, I know.

Just thought he played a bit timid. As did Cooper.

Where did Dak throw it behind CeeDee on that failed 4th and 2? Where? Show us where? That ball was placed about as good as it could be even though Zack Martin was bullrushed back 6 yards right into Dak. Dak couldn't even step forward to make that throw, yet he still got the ball to CeeDee IN FRONT OF HIM.

I think the poster is seeing that Lamb has to slow down a touch to make the catch and is mistaking that for a throw behind. But it’s more due to the throw being low and a bit short. And certainly the pocket on that side breaking down contributed there. The real issue is that the safety guessed right and made a good play. Maybe it was a pure guess, maybe he read Dak’s eyes, or maybe it was a tendency seen on film but regardless Lamb wasn’t picking that up no matter what. Needed to look elsewhere on that one.

Dak didn't have time to look elsewhere. Zack Martin was being driven 6+ yards back right into Dak's legs from the hiking of the ball. Should have kicked the FG and gotten the easy 3 points to tie the game.

He’s so versatile. I have inside knowledge he’ll be playing OL due to Tyron being out
