Video: Voch - Cowboys Pass Rush Improves

Lol, I don’t get how anyone can get excited over Dlaw and Smith after one game against the worst offense in the league. Once they start performing consistently good against quality competition then I’ll get excited but for now all they did was beat up the weakest kid on the playground...and we still almost lost.

Fantastic.

Coming into the year I thought we’d be a mid tier defense who was adept at winning the turnover battle.

Been 5 weeks... the d showed some signs of life last week. Let’s see if they see if they can build on it.

I still think implementing a new scheme and not having pre season kind of hurt. Hopefully guys like jaylon dlaw and griffen can get up to speed. I also think getting LVE back will help.

In two weeks we can have LVE, possibly Lee, and also Gregory can be activated after this next game.
Awuzie should be ready soon also depending the severity of his hamstring issue.

Defense can look a lot better here soon.

I know it was just the Giants, but I am excited about our edge guys because Smith has done well all year and DLaw started moving like DLaw again. He was quicker, he more elusive, that"s not just opponent exclusive.

What I am not excited about is our interior players. Our DTs have played AWFUL, and for whatever reason, our FO has not seem interested in bringing in any one new. When LVE comes back, he will not look good, if our DTs continue to play this poorly.

And that's good enough for you?

1. Qualify for the playoffs
2. Win the division
3. Get the best seed you can. if win the division, the way it looks, would be 4th
4. Get HFA. Though this yer it will not happen, unless an extreme turn of events.

That is the goal every year. Once eliminated, then if they lose, though not on purpose, get the better draft pick.

So yes, making the playoffs no matter what is good enough for me.

I believe they can, with just what you said,, players like DLaw, JS, Griffen,, Diggs getting better.. this defense will get better as the season progresses, coaching will get better.

They got a lot of pressure, and many times very quick pressure, against the Giants. They just need to finish better, because Jones was able to avoid it for the most part. Murray probably will be able to as well.

They easily could have had like 6 sacks last week if they had finished and not let Jones escape.

Realistically, we should be 0-5. This pass rush didn't improve. It played one of the worst offenses in the league.

The pass rush had wilson looking scared towards the end of the game. If not for a couple interceptions, and a PI call, they could have beat the 5-0 seahawks. There record could as easly be better than worse.
