Voch: K'Lavon Chaisson All 22 Breakdown

Good breakdown. Chaisson is definitely my #1 target. When you have both elite skill and hustle and toughness, you usually succeed. Haven't heard anything about his intelligence, but from what I've read, he seems like a smart, mature young man

Him, Smith, and Gregory at RDE is not a bad rotation at all..

Miles better than what we thought we were dealing with intially after the Quinn departure

I think you see alot of multiple fronts if you draft Chaisson. All 4 of those DE's (Lawrence included) have the ability to rush standing up as well as from a 3 point stance. However Smith and Chaisson you have a much more natural set of stand up rushers in an odd front. Granted we still have to see exactly what Smith is now

Poor man's Randy Gregory.

Gregory (235 at the combine) was the ultimate example of beating OTs that outweighed him by almost 100 pounds. Gregory did all the things highlighted in this video plus Gregory could somehow Bullrush 330 pound OTs.

If Gregory is reinstated it would be like getting a draft pick. Gregory with a legit coaching staff could be amazing.

Nothing against Chaisson. He appears to be a very good player. There's no disputing that he has the physical ability. It's all about the mental-makeup, especially for 1st round picks that come in with high expectations by fans. The expectations were a big part of Taco's demise. He could not get past the criticism. On the flip side guys like Charles Haley seemed to relish in proving any doubters wrong. Morris Claiborne obviously had more physical ability than many CBs that have been NFL starters but Claiborne's mental-makeup was horrible.

There was nothing physically special about Claiborne other than slightly longer arms than most corners.

5’-11”
188 lbs

4.50 forty
34.5” vertical
9’-9” broad jump
7.01 three-cone
33.25” arms
8.5” hands (tiny)

I like Chaisson, but 17 seems rich for me for someone with mediocre sack, TFL and pressure production.

He’ll get overdrafted bc he plays a premium position and it’s a bad DE class.

I like this guy, and for a while thought he'd get to us, but the closer we get to the draft, the less likely I think he does. Too many Mocks have Atl grabbing him right before our pick.
