I know this was mentioned about him during the Zona game but I did not get to see that game.

However I noticed 2-3 times (that I just noticed) he was getting man handled and pushed back 3-5 yards behind the LOS.

This is our utility guy....let's hope the position we find ourselves in with the rook at RT plays out and that Flo does not go down because this guy is just not looking too good from what I have noticed and what was said about him last week.

My thoughts exactly, Brain.

One play stands out big time in my mind, he looked like a turn-stlye or a drunk matador.

We need help on the OL.

I don't know why BP likes him so much.

Last two preseason games he's been awful. Worst lineman all around

Assuming we keep nine, you have a rotation at center of Gurode and Johnson, then Vollers, Peterman, Walter as backups with Tucker and Petitti fighting it out at RT. One of these guys has to go if we keep 9. Gurode can play OG, and Walter can play OG/C.

I was going to post this, Vollers was getting his *** whipped! I also saw Al Johnson getting shoved 2 yards backwards.

I don't understand the criticism of Vollers. Since when has he supposed to have been great? He is a serviceable backup who you can depend on for a solid game if needed. But to imply he has been our "worst all around" is taking it too extremes.

Our whole line, Pro Bowlers like Rivera included have been terrible.

The player who looked completely overmatched is Walter. If he is our primary backup at guard, we need to start looking for his replacement.

Back to the tackle situation, I think Pettiti did well enough last night to win the job.

No Vollers isn't good, thats why he is a backup and not even considered for the starting job...

But the whole Oline needs more reps together, they still have time to gell...
I think Gurode makes a better starter then Johnson at this point...

Pettite got beat on Hensen's pick, forced him to step up & threw off the timing, but he played pretty good, lets hope he continues to improve there.

Rivera hasn't played awful, he just hasn't played...We need him healthy!

I won't say worst all around.

But one thing to consider is that he has been manhandled on multiple occasions against backups.

It is one thing if a backup is not great at one spot....Vollers is the swing guy for both the RT and LT position.

The Problem is that he's not even been serviceable this preseason. I always thought he was ok and you could get by with him, but if he doesn't show better that he has we are in deep ****e if we need him.
