Twitter: Voluntary OTAs began today - Player Interviews

OTA’s and the draft seemed like a very long way off after that last disappointing play against San Francisco in the playoffs. The last three months have gone by faster than I thought they would.

So can Fowler get more than 6 sacks? Doestn seem like a tall task to me.
Fowler is a good pass rusher. Just not much vs the run.

Remember the year that Robert Quinn played for the Cowboys. Good pass rusher but struggled vs the run in Marinelli's scheme.

Dan Quinn can scheme around those types of issues; whereas, Marinelli didn't scheme. He just focused on 'beat your man' off the snap ('quick twitch').

The other issue is health. Fowler had 11.5 sacks in 2019 when he played all 16 games.
- In 2020 and 2021 had injury issues.
- He still played 14 games each of those seasons, but was not 100% for most of the games.

Just play him as a pass rush specialist to limit his snaps. Let Armstrong & Golston play DE on run downs.

Sounds good to me. But I think we all see the need for a young DE in this draft. I am hoping in round 1 or 2.
