Von Miller eyeing the Raiders now

The Raiders have a chance to have a good defense this season. The best thing that happened for them was Baltimore rescinding the Crosby trade. Getting him back plus their free agency and draft hauls could make them better.

If Cousins can keep the seat warm until Fernandez is ready and the rookie truly is number one pick worthy...look out AFC West.

Von Miller would help their defense.

I can’t see it being a good fit.

I definitely agree that they will be vastly improved, but they’re still rebuilding and in a tough division.

A team in that position doesn’t need Von Miller.

Definitely a very tough division with very good to great HCs on the other teams as well.

But, I am not a believer in the Chargers or Broncos due to my lack of belief in their QBs. I also think it is super hard to do what the Chiefs have done for as long as they have, so coming back to the pack is inevitable. Right, Stash? Right?

The Raiders need a WR1 to go along with Bowers, Jeanty, and Fernandez, but lately teams have gotten bolstered by rookie QBs. See Washington, Chicago, New England, and the aforementioned Broncos and Chargers. Stranger things have happened.

I would definitely be shocked to see the Raiders finishing ahead of Denver and Los Angeles. Even ahead of the Chiefs would be a surprise for me.

They’ll definitely be improved, but they’re still in a tough division.

I can see them making a call, as they do with many Vets. But this guy seems just to be looking at $$$ at this point, and I cannot see him even entertining playing for a dollar here, unless it was his only offer

He certainly seems like he’s selling himself, possibly to the highest bidder.

And if that’s the case, he certainly won’t be coming to Dallas.

But if he was sincere about wanting to play for the Cowboys and staying close to home and family, I can see them possibly signing him for cheap.

It depends on what he’s truly after.
 
The raiders could be sneaky good this year, the issue as others have mentioned is that division may be the toughest in football.

For a team that hasn’t had a winning record since 2021 it may be smart to bring in a guy like miller even if you’re not truly a serious contender. If they think miller can grab them an extra win in 2026 and give them a chance to just be relevant to get the fans engaged it makes sense….especially with a new HC.
 
He might give any team he plays for about 6 games maximum. Rather have Clowney back in that case.

IDK Stash.........I wonder if teams hold off on signing him until after the first regular-season game to avoid guaranteeing his salary for the year?

They certainly could. I guess it depends on how much or how little they want him.
