Vontae Davis retired at halftime

If this happened in CA it would not surprise since CA is an at-will state.

Bills are on track for the top pick in the draft. Won’t be a qb.

I’ve never heard of something so crazy. You got 14 more weeks collect your paycheck and then quit. I found out about this on Deion’s show my tv basically stays on NFL Network so after the Cowboys game I watch some bull riding

He will regret that forever. Should have just went to the tent if he was hurting.

Yeah he will regret it. He could have at least just stuck it out for the rest of the game and I doubt anyone would have blamed him if he said he couldn’t do it psychically anymore. So basically he couldn’t wait 1 and half more hours.

This is certainly a weird scenario, but I can’t really blame him.

Vontae doesn’t owe anybody jack ****. With his contract IIRC, he’ll be paid for the games he played, and after that he won’t be on the payroll anymore.

Football is a violent sport and I actually credit Davis for retiring the second he knew he couldn’t handle it anymore.

I thought he retired before the season. Was news to me that he was still playing.

He knows himself the best, still an odd time to call it.

This is the same guy that asked if he could call his grandmother after getting cut in Hard Knocks.

He's actually a nice kid, but really socially and mentally behind.

Davis is over 30 and has made a ton of money. Coming off groin surgury. This is his 10th year in the league. It's his personal decision, I don't blame him.

I retired at halftime once. OK it wasn't halftime, it was lunchtime. And I guess I didn't "retire" because I was 19 and working as a part time "associate" at Sears. But I totally rolled out in the middle of my shift with 2 middle fingers raised. Felt good!

I had a boss make me so angry at a hotel I worked at when I was in college I walked out.

I had a customer years ago who agreed to hire my guys to paint her trim on her house. So, I go and get the paint mixed, go to the house where my guys have taken the shutters off and other prep work, and she comes out of the house screaming that she no longer wanted the work done. I told her she owed us for paint, but she screamed that she wouldn't pay. So, I simply left one of the cans on her sidewalk. Open. Kicked over. Ever try to remove paint from cement? Good luck!!!!!!

Crazy thing is, we had the screws from the shutters in my truck in a cup. They had the audacity to call me and ask me to bring the screws back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol the paint can knocked over sounds like something I would do.

Very low class move for sure, he is just trying to avoid being the gasoline on the Bills season, which everyone already saw coming.
