The defense, and by extension Wade Philips kept us in this game up until that third turnover. Considering how inept the offense was, and all the turnovers, the defense played very well all things considered. Everyone calling for wades head would see this defense undone; and is crazy as far as I'm concerned.

3 points and 6 sacks is the problem, wade and his defense should not be receiving all the knee jerk hate that this forum is in the process of exploding with.

If wade goes, then we'll go back to a D-coordinator such as Brian Stewart, and the defensive talent will simply be squandered.

If everyone is going to start freaking out, at least direct it in the proper direction.

Let us not also forget, that maybe, JUST MAYBE, we lost to a superior team. Or is that impossible to comprehend?

Yes Wade could have done a better job, but this loss is squarely on the offense, and those responsible for the offense.

I know its difficult to think rationally at this point, but 5 hours ago, 99 percent of the people now hating on Wade, were finally accepting the progress hes afforded this team.

We are a young team, that is only going to get better - It would be unwise to destroy this coaching staff. As mad as I am at the game Garret called, the O-line was likely hindering what game plan he had.

I'm not saying coaching changes shouldn't be made, because its evident that Choice should be getting barbers carries, and Felix should be getting a bit more carriers. Decisions like that just seem archaic.

Again, late into the third quarter, and considering turnovers and our inept offense, we are fortunate wade and this defense were able to even give us a chance. I don't want to lose that, sorry.

D was good enough to win. We needed one play in the 3rd quarter to get back in the game. O couldn't make a play today.

I'm not for firing Wade, but I don't think you can claim the defense did its job today. They gave up two easy touchdowns to get Dallas in a very bad situation early on.

That being said the offense was definitely worse today.

Offense couldn't score. That was the problem. D was pretty tough until the O kept putting them into a corner

i have to agree with you guys, wade did his job, if he's fired for that game it's a miscarriage of justice, whoever is in charge of that oline, or whoever drafted them, they gotta fix that for ya, and your OC is kinda stale, but really the biggest problem was the oline and lack of protection

minnesota just looked so much faster

who is the oline coach???

The defense was good enough to win, but I wish we had more ball hawks to help change momentum.

The first deep ball to Rice was perfectly executed, and was a perfectly thrown ball. We were over due for getting burned by a play like that. Other than that, they really only had one nice drive through the first three quarters; which is to be expected, they are a good offense.

IMO it's not on the OLine coach. He needs something to coach.

As much as everyone wants Flozell gone we have no one to replace him. We just saw Free isn't the answer.

B.S. The buck stops with the head coach and WADE'S team got their arse handed to them 34-3. The team was UNPREPARED in all phases. Wade does NOT get a pass.

I'm was one for having him gone, but I'm not sure now. The D played really good most of the season, Wade is responsible for that. I'm torn.

That's going to happen with a good offense at home. The point the OP is making is that the defense held them down to 17 points against poor field position at times. The defense did well. But you can only hold on so much if the offense doesn't do anything.

I disagree. He's not the D coordinator - he's the head coach. Besides the team not being mentally ready to play the game, he is respsosible for the 2 4th and 1s in the first half, the bonehead pass on the punt return, making changes at the half to protect romo, and everything else that went wrong. They were not prepared. His responsibility.

When you lose like we did there is a lot of blame to go around.

Having said that, if you told me I could have a brand new coaching staff or a new offensive line, I would pick offensive line.

Pick any coach you want, and have the OL play like they did and you will be lucky to win a game much less win a playoff game against a team who has one of the better DLs in the league.

Joe is responsible for the throw on the punt. And I don't blame wade not going for it on 4th and 1 when pretty much the entire second half of the season our short yardage game has let us down. The defense was prepared, and also mentally ready.
