On the final drive of the game, did anyone else notice the look on Wade's face?
He looked like he was at a complete loss on how to stop the Giants. You could clearly see defeat in his face and the Giants weren't even in field goal range yet.
He stopped blitzing and rush 3 or 4 and dropped the secondary into zone coverage which was a completely ignorant thing to do considering how good the Giants offensive line is. He basically told the Giants, go ahead and run around and wait until your receiver comes free and beat us.
People always talk about how Wade is a great defensive mind and for the most part he is. I mean, he knows how to bring pressure, but one thing people hardly ever mention is that his defense for the most part is inconsistent. Sure he gets lots of pressure, but he as always given up big plays too. His defense doesn't compare to other defensive masterminds of today.
The Dick Lebeau, Rex Ryan, and Bellicheat of the world who build good defenses that are consistent. Wade Phillip's defenses hardly ever finish on top in defense. Only in sacks.
