Wade on his train wreck of a radio show
---------------------------------

So he saw the video and he thinks Flozell will win the appeal?

This video...

I hate Justin Tuck. Despise him. He's a complete and total punk.

But there is nothing in that video other then Flozell acting like a moron and almost costing his team a 15 yard penalty and then almost being suspended while getting a $50,000 fine.

Tuck isn't even looking at Flozell.

You are not allowed to just go up to a defenseless player and shove him to the ground from behind when the play is clearly winding down if not over already.

It's a cheap shot. It's dirty football. It's not something you want your kids doing while they are playing pee wee football. And that's why the NFL doesn't want it being done on the NFL level.

So why in the world would Wade come to the defense of Flozell here?

Answer. Because he doesn't want Flo to get mad at him and not send him a Christmas card this year.

Damn, what a weak shove back Tuck gave Flo back. Flo needs to give him some more pointers on that.. LOL

Dumb to appeal, just accept it and move on. Flo has no grounds on this.

I want to believe Tuck did something the cameras didn't catch but then I do believe Flo is that stupid.

After the shove Flo went after another guy to block. He apparently didn't know the play was over.

I could care less if he eats 50Gs since it isn't my money but he needs to watch it so he doesn't get suspended.

$50,000 fine for a little shove is ridiculous.

What about the fine for all of the Giants for ganging up on Flo? Aren't they just supposed to stand there passively no matter what Flo did? Isn't that the way it works, and the reason Flo got fined, because he didn't stand there passively and ignore whatever Tuck was doing or saying during the 1st half?

Where is Couglin's fine for criticizing the ref's decision on the penalty at halftime and the refs decision not to throw a flag on Romo's "intentional grounding"?

Right.

I read that Flo has appealed all his fines so far, but hasn't heard back from the league yet. If he's lucky, he'll get the fines reduced, but I doubt they just go away.

Not his first fine this season.

That's why it's $50,000.

All the players appeal if I recall correctly. I know I would if it was my money.

Tough week for DC so far. The players don't think Wade is incompetent and now Flozell might not have to pay his fine.

League sends Adams stern letter
December, 9, 2009 Dec 911:28AM CT

By Calvin Watkins

This comes as no surprise, but the league sent a strongly worded letter to left tackle Flozell Adams regarding his conduct the rest of the season.

The league told Adams if he gets penalized again he could face a larger fine or face a suspension.

Adams was fined $50,000 by the league on Tuesday night for his personal foul penalty on the Giants Justin Tuck. Adams pushed Tuck from behind at the end of the first half.

Jordan Woy, Adams' agent, said he's appealed previous fines but hasn't heard from the league to see if they would get rescinded

I can't imagine that they'd take the fine away. There is no way around the fact that it was a personal foul and there was absolutely no reason for that to have taken place.

I think the amount of yapping he does had something to do with it...and I'm pretty sure he was one of the ones who hit Tony leading with the crown of his helmet.

S.O.S

And a stern letter from the NFL.

So what was that again?

You keep that homer juice flowing for Wade CL.

Ummm, yeah pretty easy to say even if it was my cash. Video shows it all. Hard to appeal it. IMO, it shouldn't even of come this far. It was a shove, big deal , move on.

As I mentioned in another thread on the subject, would love to see the all 22 on this one. Plus heard Mick on the show yesterday (I think it was him) making the argument that it is possible that he did think the play was still live.

Wade on Flozell's fine and Tuck's "dirtbag'' comment
5:29 PM Wed, Dec 09, 2009 | Permalink | Yahoo! Buzz
David Moore/Reporter Bio | E-mail | News tips

Flozell Adams has received a $50,000 fine and letter from the NFL warning that his next indiscretion could result in a suspension.

Unlike former Cowboys safety Roy Williams and his infamous horse collar tackle, Wade Phillips isn't concerned that the threat of suspension will impact Adams' aggressiveness.

"If he doesn't worry about that, I don't worry about that,'' Phillips said. "I think he worries about playing the game and playing it well.

"He's not, in my opinion, a vicious player. And it's not like Roy's tackle which Roy was known for, of doing the same thing every time.''

Next question: does Phillips believe New York's Justin Tuck, the recepient of Adams' forearm shiver to the back, should be fined for calling the Cowboys left tackle a "dirtbag?''

"I'm not going to get into that,'' Phillips said after he chuckled. "Tuck is a very good football player and plays really well on the field.''
