Boy, when we started blitzing toward the end though it was brutal. Leftwich was able to get a couple passes off, but he was getting the **** kicked out of him in the process.
Not being able to stop the run early probably had a lot to do with that and one time it looked like the ILB had a stunt and the bucs ran through the hole the LB vacated. The bucs picked up a lot of yards on that play.
I don't know. Maybe there wasn't much to go off of with regards to the Tampa offense? Zero continuity from last year, and even their preseason, so there may not have been much film to study.
It could be that the defense took the preseason route and didn't really gameplan much.
that WC offense, pro bowl o-line had alot to do with it...we got some pressure but we never got a guy get a free unblocked shot. I think we only sent 5 guys most of the time...thats pretty conservative IMO. I hope they practice alot this week in prep for the Giants.
Toward the end of the game, the DL could tee off on the QB because they didn't have to play the run anymore. Even with that, they couldn't get a sack. Although, they did get a little pressure.
