Wade or Jason for the Future?

Suppose, and I am just noodling here, that the Cowboys defense suffers a late season letdown and we finish 11-5 and lose our first playoff game (God forbid).

If Wade, at that point, does not appear to be the defensive genius he has been in the past, but Garrett has shown his remarkable offensive mind, does JJ let Garrett get hired away to coach in NY or some other city? Or does he promote Jason to HC here and let Wade go? Or does JJ go after a Cowher or some other HC option?

As we sit at 4-0, what would you do in that case?

That is just to many what ifs for me.

I will say this thought I definetly want Jason Garrett as our future head coach.

Agreed it is a lot of "what ifs" but you hit the nail on the head. The meat of the inquiry is how can we keep Jason Garrett?

Even if we win the Superbowl, someone comes to hire him away....

After seeing what SD is going through, I would hate to fire a winning, experienced coach.

Here's a hypothetical: What if Jason did leave? Are we SURE we'd be doomed? Tony Sparano is due -- overdue, probably -- to be an offensive coordianator. Who's to say he couldn't do what Jason is doing?

Wade is the Head coach and seems to have done a great job with his family atmosphere and seems to have formed a great relationship with TO. I clearly do not want to lose Garrett but you don't get rid of a HC when he is being successful. Wade is bring more to this team than the X's and 0's
