Not sure if this is change in attitude, but he seems like a different guy in PC. Did anyone else notice he is talking a lot like BP? Saying like he has to see it on the field etc. and not being overly optimistic or defensive like before. I guess a playoff win and extension does a lot for a coach.

Not sure this deservers a new thread, but couldn't comment this on another thread.

wade did say things along those lines

I noticed it in the pc too. He seemed a lot more assertive. Although I thought he was last year too at least a lot more than his first season. He seems to see the big picture now and that is don't get too excited about these predictions and worrying about the Super Bowl and just take it a game at a time. You'll probably get some people that will say he is the same ole Wade but I definitely noticed a difference today.

this is the best team the NFL has ever seen

shhh...don't tell theebs

;)

Wade really started to show this toward end of last season...after playoff victory u could just see Wade was more confident guy. I really noticed it in OTA....he looks like a coach who has respect of players, owner and around the league. I am not so certain anymore that Garrett can bump him in near future.

I liked the part where Wade says we don't even have a team yet.

Exactly what I was talking about. That really caught my attention.

Winning breeds confidence. For both Wade and Romo getting that playoff monkey off there backs was huge!

Think about the media and what it would have been like this off-season had we not won a playoff game last season.

Wade is really saying pretty much the same things he always says but he just has an air of confidence about him now.

1992 and 1993. If the Cowboys are as good now as they were then, it'll be a cakewalk.

Well, no, that's a complete fabrication. Wade Phillips is still a cream puff and a pushover and a puppet coach of Jerry Jones. What you saw were some editting and CGI tricks to make it look like Wade Phillips was sounding more like a confident coach. It's a conspiracy, people!

I can't help it, the title has me hearing Jimmy Buffet.

That's a great thing. Parrotheads unite.

I was talking with a co-worker today who is a Steelers fan. We talked about Tomlin's two year extension. Then he mentioned he liked Wade but wished Wade was "tougher" and doesn't believe he can get the job done winning a championship. I told him I would like to see Wade be tougher when dealing with the media but felt among the players he is more assertive. I really think Wade is no longer looking over his shoulder, waiting to see what Jerry is going to say or do about him as a coach. You're hearing good words from Jerry about Wade and a solid season last year has led Wade to really move forward and focus.

Off course this all changes if things go awry this season but I really think Wade is at the most comfortable level he's been with the organization and hopefully that translates into some good focus, hard work and a championship down the line.

Garrett isnt as good as phillips now.

He hasnt been great with out Sparano. I hope he does well this year though

Phillips is getting better and ive liked his defense since he got here, i dont remember him making game losing decisions. . Id only rather have rex ryan parcells or belicheck here.

And that isnt happening.

I like this apporach espn and nfl net are going to be pimping us but to be realistic as i have said all offseason we got tossed around by the vikings...

Our safteys are HIGHLY questionable if we come up against a team with a good line and scheme against us we're going to have to out preform them on o to win.... Unless ball and idiot who will not be named for getting torched show up im going to really damper my expectations until we either make the playoffs or own the reg season.

I guess that he has changed Lattitudes enough times that it was time for a change in attitude. I'm with you on the parrotheads thing.

I would, but I can't find my shaker of salt... it seems to be lost...

Come Monday, I plan on looking for it... :D

Wade is in great form now.

He came into the organization as a short lease, kept on a short leash, with almost no power and his replacement already hired. Through hard work, competence, patience, and people skills somehow Wade managed to redefine his position within the organization.

It is pretty amazing.

I've always wondered. Is paradise Margaritaville?

On topic............I've always liked Wade. His demeanor and coaching style. As for this attitude change...................show me on the field. I think the biggest factor thats got me amped is I believe the coaching staff has gel'd. I think the D, O and ST's will compliment each other this year.
