Though, McCarthy has traditionally preferred 3-4 defenses. However, the lack of a "big guy" NT to clog the middle will be a big need for a 3-4, which we don't have.

I'd love to move on from Crawford (now that the dead cap is just $1M, savings of $8M, aging, injuries, not getting any better), use that money for Quinn (our best defensive player this year). No more "JAGs" in the middle, need big guys to collapse the pocket and prevent opposing QBs from running forward.

I just don't think our front office prioritizes the position and why I've never liked moving to the 4-3. It's far too dependent on stud DTs. I'd much rather just find one big boy NT.
