Does anyone know it? Does he have one at all or are we just handing this responsibility off to an offensive coordinator with little experience. Has wade ever had significant influence over an offenses philosphy?

I believe it is "run and pass the ball well with good protection and to try and score every possession." :D

Well, I dont really know about his philosophy, but I remember reading some of his players had their best years on offense while he was head coach, including-

John Elway
Shannon Sharpe
Eric Moulds
Peerless Price

and it also seems RB's had good years under him, and most where not worth a thing after he left.

He has said that he likes to get the ball to his best playmakers and that he likes ball control offenses.

I expect him to basically stay out of the way of Garrett and Sparano, but tell them that he wants a ball control offense. Which is to say it won't be too wide open, but probably a balanced attack. Running the ball more when you have a lead. (I doubt he is as conservative as Parcells)

In 16 of his 25 years as a defensive coordinator or head coach, the offenses of his teams were in the top 10 for # of rushing attempts and # of rushing yards.

He's also been on teams with fine RBs, including George Rogers, Earl Campbell, Keith Byars, Bobby Humphrey, Thurman Thomas, the Duckett & Warrick Dunn combo in Atlanta, and LaDainian Tomlinson.

Antowain Smith and Gaston Green each had 1,000 yard seasons when Phillips was coaching on their team.

I don't know what Phillips' offensive philosophy is, but often his defenses have had the support of a strong rushing game.

I would guess that he doesn't have one.

That's why Sparano was promoted to Assistant Head Coach.

From what I've heard, he likes a power running game wiith an OL composed of gargantuan maulers instead of svelte athletes.

If wade has had very good offense's and he is consider a defensive guru, why has his tenure as a head coach been short lived? WHY?

Call us when your offensive genius of a HC learns to run the 2 minute drill and/or starts calling his own plays again.

Its hard to try to explain what that is to a Commander troll .....

When this column .......... W-

it means you have a
winning record.

I think others pretty much nailed it. I think his philosophy is definitely ball control. He's never coached any "special" running backs as a HC, but he will pound it anyway with whoever's back there.

As for skill players, I think I remember reading that Elway put up good numbers, but his YPA went down under Wade. I'll have to check that out.

Right, just like your prodigal son Joe Gibbs returning to have, what's that? A losing Record??? A HOF career tarnished? Get out of here dude. Another reason why foreskin fans aren't fit to shine my shoes.:laugh2:

Well , that is NOT our offensive line sans Leonard Davis... we don't have super athletes, (Maybe Kosier this year, he can pull like the dickens.) nor do we have maulers

I dunno... "ball control"? while I agree that we will run I think we open it up often.

With the weapons on offense... we should be an attacking "open" offense... it will help Running game.
