Wade Phillips responded to jacobs "we are going to kick their butt" comment

Last night on cbs 11 sports section Babe Laufenberg showed a clip from earlier in the day (wednesday) from the huddle with babe laufenberg and Wade phillips which airs 9 am on sundays on cbs 11.

The clip was laufenberg asking wade phillips if he heard or read what brandon jacobs said the giants were going to do. Wade phillips responded with yea we know all about it (I cant remember his exact words but it was something like that) and he then said he likes confident players and said jacobs is a good player but he doesnt like or does the team like someone calling them out like that. He said he didnt agree with that and does not want any of his players doing that.

It was great to see him say yea we are aware of what was said, then hearing him say we are at home, we will be ready.

Bring on sunday. I am not quoting him word for word Just as close to what I remember him saying last night. SO please dont message me sunday morning because i didnt have him right word for word, just passing along something I thought was interesting he said.

I'm not so sure it was wise of Jacobs to invite MORE guys to try and hit him on every play. After all, we've got some big boys on our side, too. He's already going to get hit twice almost every touch he gets - now instead of pulling off, maybe he gets 3 and 4. That big body is going to be brutalized.

I say he fumbles twice. And one of those will be a critical situation and / or will result in a big play for us.

Gallaway was already harping on that yesterday afternoon. He mentioned it literally every 5 minutes or less. His dumb hick routine is getting pretty old. I've met him in person several years ago and wears his arrogance like a rain coat (unless he's changed since then). This probably colors my perception of him to a degree :laugh1:

We played the Giants in the last preseason game. As we all know, starters do not start. It is a game to evaluate who will remain on your team.

Not one Pat starter was on the field that night. But, it was so interesting, on the first, cannot remember I think second possession on offense the first team was out. In addition, a number of their starters played almost the whole game. I was thinking, this is weird.

They went for 4th downs, did an off-side kick, etc.

It went through my mind, these guys want to win. At all costs. But, but, it is just a preseason game -- why??? It is not what counts, and not important. Any of you look at a preseason game and say, darn I wish we won. Who cares???

That being said the Giants offense starters looked sharp. I like Shockey. Cannot help myself. But the Mannings always put the fur up on my back. Not for the reasons you think. I don't like them because they are whiners. I don't like whiners in life, and I really, really don't like whiners in football. A football whiner -- oh, no Mr. Bill.

So, bottom line, please kick their collective butt on Sunday.

Oh, by the way, we heard this nonsense from the Chargers, and then we did a dance when we won and we were the ones that were "classless". The world has gone quite mad.

if anyone at the stadium has a pair, they'd get the video of it and put a short script around it.

jacobs mouthing off WHAM INTO MUSIC and a close up of roy going NO NO NO with his finger and then a past hit of roy on jacobs (insert right player as necessary for biggest hit) and then just say "sorry son, you're in a mans house now" as the defense flips by in individual shots with "There goes my hero" playing in the background.

thern play that as he's coming onto the field on the jumbotron!

if we did that we'd damn well better shut him down and win.
