Did anyone hear what Wade said after the Saturday night debacle with the Texans?

He said, "It is hard to run on the road."

I have been watching football for more than 40 years and have never heard that beauty. Can anyone explain what the heck that means. Does the home team run down hill and the away team run up hill?:suxjints::suxjints:

Parcells used to say something similar - like you've got to be able to run on the road

No, he means eat whatever you want because its hard to have the runs on the road.

I agree you have to be able to run on the road but I never heard it is more difficult to run on the road than it is to run at home. It is illogical. Its not like there is a home field advantage to the run. If its noisier the runners get scared and don't want to run hard?

Teams play better at home typically = harder.

Crowd noise can cause penalties = penalties equal longer distances for first downs = harder.

That noise also affects the snap count, making it harder to get off the ball on the snap, which can hurt you in short yardage = harder.

Something is illogical alright.;)

What he meant was, the field was soaked with water to slow our runners down. The grass was longer and that slowed players down. When you have running backs like ours everyone grows the grass and soaks the field to slow them down, then dries them out and mows the grass when other teams come in.

Or not.
