With the playoffs looming, most teams have revealed their hands at this point in the season, and game tape excludes little if any un-tapped fire power for the teams entering the post season.

However, the Cowboys might still be holding a card or two.

Ogletree and Choice havent really been exposed this season, atleast not enough that opposing coordinators will be game planning against either one of them, and its not like its a big risk giving either of them playing time.

Choice is already a proven commodity, its not like he is a rook. He proved last season that he can carry the load if need be, and offers a different type of running style than MB3 or Jones.

Though Ogletree is a rook, he has been an impressive rook when given an opportunity. Seems that Romo has a lot of faith and confidence in the young WR, because when he is in, Romo seems to look him up.

On D, the 46 has been shelved since closing out last season.

A scheme that proved to be highly effective, and if used at the appropriate times and in the right situations, could really throw some opposing OL's a few headaches during the playoff stretch.

Im thinking theres a reason why the 46 hasnt been touched this season..... might be saving a little ammo for the war.

I think Choice just lost out because the Wildcat hasn't been as effective as Garrett hoped and we just have not rushed the ball much on 3rd down when Choice is in there. I don't think he has been saved for the playoffs. I believe the same is true of KO - he'll get his chance to move up the depth chart in the next TC. His chance to burst into the top3 may depend on injury again unless one of the top3 get injured for a stretch because all 3 are "proven".

In terms of the 46, I do wonder why it has been shelved this year because I remember it was giving OLs a fit and James was great in the role as a blitzing ILB in that scheme. maybe we were saving it for the playoffs? I guess we'll find out soon enough.

The good thing is, we unleashed O-Tree against Philly last time, which means they will be concerned every time he's on the field. He would be a good decoy this game.

I have found myself wondering what happened to the 46 look this year.

In fact, in the last month, I forgot all about it.

But if we do see it, I would imagine it would be in that first playoff game, and boy, would it make me smile to see Wade make another coach panic.

The Wildcat hasn't been succesful? Aside from about 2 or 3 plays in the backfiled I would say everytime they run it Choice for the most part gets positive yardage. It works so well that it wouldn't shock me if they were saving it for the post season. I don't believe in the theory that teams save plays and players for the post season but that's the only logical excuse for not using Choice more. Its been successful.
