Do you guys feel coach WP need to turn up the heat with his players as we get closer to December?
Mainly the defense.

Mainly the defense.

It's not from lack of effort. Turning up the heat means motivating the players?

It wasn't due to lack of motivation either.

We have some deficiencies in the coverage ... mainly due to the inadequacies of some skill sets.

We can motivate a donkey to run, but he won't out-run a thoroughbred.

So I guess that means the TD wasn't Bradie James fault, because he was playing SHORT-ZONE....

This was the 10th game of the season, and the only player putting consistent pressure on the QB was DWare! We couldn't even put much pressure on when we blitz, which was not often enough, or with enough players. If you're going to blitz, do it often, from different players, and up the middle. When a defense gives up 348 passing yards on 33 completions, then you're not putting enough heat on-period!

It amazes me how well Kevin Burnett played last week, especially in pressure situations, and he hardly plays yesterday. I know he had that stupid penalty last week, but fine him & go on. The last 2 first round picks, Carpenter & Spencer, sure aren't putting any pressure on. I know Spencer's a rookie, & he has a lot to learn, so until then, put a very quick & fast Burnett in there once in a while to turn the heat up & create a change of pace.
