Wade versus Norv

It is an interesting saga that doesn't seem to be getting much attention. They both were considered for the Cowboys job and San Diego has played well in December, and we still flop. Most said Wade would have been head coach there if the Cowboys didn't snatch him up. The players love Wade. Dallas loves Norv.

This is like the battle of the "Head Coaches that should be Coordinators". I am interested to see how this one will turn out. I'm thinking that both will call some exotic stuff to try to out-wit one another.

This game, IMO, is far more important to Wade since it's December and he's playing against his old team.

If the Chargers lose they are tied for the division lead with a team they split the season series with.

If the Cowboys lose they are in 3rd place in the division with slim playoff hopes. (If the Giants win)


Wade needs to know that this game is the 1st true MUST WIN of this season.

If his guys aren't ready to play this one he should go ahead and pack his bags now b/c the playoffs would be out of reach.

At this point I'd much rather have Norv. When they were both being interviewed, I'll admit, I was wanting Wade more than Norv cause of the track record that Norv had shown in other places.

Well in San Diego he's won some playoff games and I'd take that over what we've done with Wade, for sure.

I do not like either coach, but Norv has had more success than Wade, with there respective teams. This is Wade's last chance. If the Cowboys lose this game, he should start emptying out his office, at the conclusion of the game.

I don't think either necassarily suck, where they've been these last few years, in the regular season. The thing that makes me like Norv more than Wade, at this point, is the far greater playoff success thus far under him.

Slight overreaction? You do realize that Wade could prepare this team better than any coach in history this week AND coach the perfect game and still see his team lose. The players play the game and SD is very good right now.

Tell me about it. But now I'm really interested.

These are two of the top coordinators over the past 20 years or so. They've both had multiple HC gigs as well.
Now you know even as HCs their stamp/mark is on their respective side of the ball. As much as any HC you're likely to find.

I'd really like to know the results of these past encounters.

I'm actually interested in the Garrett-Norv match-up. Now people will actually get to see how much Garrett runs a similar offense to Norv... Wade, I think, will defend against the San Diego offense decently...
