Its one or the other, if you are fantasizing thinking oh if Wade fails we will bring in a big name coach, you are kidding yourself.

Wade stays our coach, or Jason Garrett takes the reigns and attempts to become the new Tom Landry (coaching the same team for ever)

Who do you have more faith in, Garrett or Phillips.

I like Garrett. I would like to see him get his chance.

I would like to see Garrett get a chance too. From what Hos posted in another thread, it sounds like Garrett has just been playing his role as an assistant, and we'll see a different mentality in leadership if/when he takes the role as head coach.

Without hesitation, Garrett.

Phillips is what he is, a great defensive mind, but he hasn't shown he can win the big game (playoffs) and is 63. Not to mention I dont see him as a leader of men.

Garrett meanwhile is 20 years younger at 43, and has plenty of room for development and improvement. The reason I am so high on him as head coach is because of what has happened in regards to Payton, Sparano, etc. Lets not forget that OC and HC are way different. People look at playcalling and translate that to HC. Not at all. I think he'll be a better HC than OC.

However, the difference is Garrett never got to learn from Parcells, possibly the best coach to learn from.

Garrett I believe has more upside.Just an opinion that I can't quantify.

Wade is what he is.What you see is what you get,no more no less.

I think i'd rather take a flyer on Garrett than to endure another year of Wade, regardless of how the season ends.

Then Wade returns. Hopefully Garrett does as well because I really dont want to lose him.

He has a really good relationship with Jerry, so maybe he'd stay an extra season as OC

1 extra season for a Super Bowl? If Wade wins the Super Bowl this season he deserves a 4 year deal on the spot.

I still think Wade needs to go even if he wins a Super Bowl.I just don't see him as a long term solution here in Dallas.

You think this team is complacent at times now,you let them have that kinda of success and see what kind of team they field under Wade next year.I bet they would be so full of themselves that they'd be the laughing stocks of the league by week 8.JMO

I'm not fond of 70-year olds coaching my team.

Not really. If he wins a Super Bowl he doesn't deserve anything. Wade will get what ever Jerry decides to give him. But he certainly doesn't deserve anything.
