I'm sorry, but this guy needs to stop being a wuss and gain some fortitude where it counts. The same thing happened last year with San Diego.

At the end of the first half, Brady marched down the field in 1:56 seconds left on an 11 play, 72 yard drive, because Wade went soft-zone. The whole first half prior, the Patriots could only muster one field goal, and that obviously was the result of the offense giving the Patriots good field position. The Patriots moved the ball 33 yards in 9 plays, which is nothing.

Again, in the 3rd, the Patriots got a field goal, but that to was good field position. The defense held the Patriots to 15 yards on 7 plays. Wade went aggressive.

The final quarter, 8 plays for 72 yards in 2:20 seconds, because of the soft zone.

Wade needs to toughen it up from his own side. It is better to die aggressive than to die going out like a wuss....

Wade is not going to change....he has been in the league 30 years, you cant teach an old dog new tricks...He needs to be fired. He is a great guy but not going to get this team to the Super Bowl.

we need coaches prepared to play football in 2008, not 1985 (tuna) or generic football ie. Wade.

Wade seems like he is always making excuses after a loss or when the team plays poorly. I for one am losing faith in his ability to get this team executing at a high level.

I like how it was reported that after the half, Wade said that the defense was the right call on the drive, but the players were out of position. I'm sure he knew he was going to get called out for it.

Ultimately it is his fault they are out of position. Seems to be a trend with Reeves. Maybe we just need better players in the secondary, it is possible he did a great job masking a lot of weaknesses, you can only do so much. Im torn.

Problem is, it is going to the same defense last year that allowed the Patriots to win the game...

Please. Last year they turned over Brady three times and he had his worst QB rating he'd ever had in the postseason. If that DB just falls down after the INT and doesn't let Troy Brown strip him (which is probably the reason you saw Marlin Jackson fall on his back after picking Brady the next week), the Chargers win that game.

We went from middle of the pack at best to ranking higher in sacks and INTs than we have in years in only one season and with only one new player in Wade's D. That's not the sign of a "wuss" defense. What we need are better players than Reeves and maybe even Henry.

You missed the point. It was the aggressive nature of Wade that forced Brady in becoming tentaive and throwing 3 INTs. When Wade pulled off the aggressive calls and went soft, Brady moved the chains and scored. The same is the case here. When Wade went passive, the Giants moved down the field and scored on the soft-zone.

Our soft-zone has been sucking all year.

I don't know, I seem to remember Wade having an attacking defense when he was in SD. This year we played a cover 2 in the secondary for most of the year. Maybe it was because the injuries to Newman and Henry, and the total incompetency of Reeves and Roy, but I kept waiting for the defense to attack relentlessly, and it never did.

Perhaps needs more players of his liking to make his scheme work, at least I hope so. I can't bear to watch much more of this soft zone, prevent defense. Ware and Ellis are never going to get to the QB when the CBs are giving a 20 yard cushion to the WRs. It made me sick to watch Newman giving Toomer a 10 yard cushion at the 5 yard line and still backing up, when Toomer caught that TD before the half.

Again, he had an attacking defense, but he had the same tendency to go soft when the team built up even a small lead. As I stated regarding the Patriots game, his aggressive defense is what forced Brady to play poorly. The only time Brady moved the chains was when Wade backed off and played soft-zone. He did that to 'protect the lead' and it back-fired.

It happened in the first-half before the end of the half, and it happened this year.

I agree with you, I'm just saying that we were never aggressive on defense this year, and it caught up to us in the end.

And when we did show it, it showed how good we could be. When we played the Packers, and Favre was playing, we got exotic. We made that passing team look pathetic. After Brooks came in, Wade went soft.

The second time we played the Giants, we ran plenty of blitzes and created confusion in the line, cuasing Manning to resort to a few delay of game penalties. The package of Ware, Ellis and Spencer created a lot of havoc. I don't even remember hearing about Tank used the whole game, except for once. And that created a sack.

This game was just way too wierd overall.

I wanna choke Wade right now...

I just don't see how you can go soft on Eli Manning, when you know he gets so easily rattled when their is aggression and confusion. He should have never gone prevent, because he has no need to, with that bum at QB.

I just wanna add, I really wanna choke wade right now...
