WAIT... Exactly What "is" a Superbowl Team!

I know many of you can write a bokk about why you think the Eagles is "NOT" a Superbowl Team ...but that's not my question. Many of you have the advantage of experiencing what a Superbowl team really is ...

Unless times have changed that dramatically, your fandom (at least some of you) should be able to tell me ..."not who you think is not a Superbowl Team" ...but the question is ...What is a Superbowl team.

I can't wait to hear this ...

Any team that represents there confernece in the present year can be called a superbowl team.

Past referneces of such winning teams in the superbowl are referred to as a superbowl team.

There are actually two superbowl teams every year! Even though they both compete for the ultimate Championship, win or loose, they are both Superbowl Teams!

Spoken like a fan of a team who choked in the Superbowl ......

first of all you need a team that can do two things consistently: run the football and stop the other team from running the football. mix in some playmakers on both sides of the ball. a good coaching staff is implied in the first 2 ingredients. don't forget to add solid special teams (reliable kicker) and there you have it.

in truth the superbowl team is, and has been:

The team who keeps focused, doesnt get hit hard by the injury bug, and plays a schedule that is less intimidating then originally thought( strong teams with off years)

realistically this year there are only four teams that fit the bill- last years conference finalists.
I would say Colts, Steelers, Broncos in the AFC
Seahawks, Panthers in the NFC. Then from there down to
Pats, US, Bears, Jags, Skins, Giants, Falcons, Bucs, Bungles ; after them Chiefs, Chargers, Philthy, Fins, Ravens, Rams
