It looks like America's back in love with the Dallas Cowboys.

According to a Harris Poll of 2,368 adults conducted between Sept. 9-17, the Cowboys are officially America's favorite team again.

The Cowboys have long been known as "America's Team," but Dallas lost the title last year when the Broncos came out No. 1 in the annual Harris Poll. The Broncos fell to No. 4 in the 2015 poll.

The Cowboys have dominated the poll for almost as long as it has existed. There have been a total of 15 Harris Polls taken since 1998 and the Cowboys have been voted No. 1 in 10 of those.

It's never been "official" anyway. It's just fact!

It's an unofficial tag.

I didn't know that 2,368 adults represent the entire adult population in the United States. That's like saying, 2,368 adults think Justin Beiber is the greatest musician ever, so that makes him the greatest musician for adults in the U.S.

The Cowboys will never stop being "America's Team" it started with the Cowboys 37 years ago and it will end with the Cowboys. Most here don't take Wikipedia seriously but no one will say they didn't get this right. lol

That's how all polls are conducted. The sample size is relatively small, but the eye test and ratings prove that the Cowboys are indeed the most popular team in America year after year regardless of who wears the star or how they fare.

Exactly. Ratings and merchandise sales are a better judge.

I seriously hate that moniker, and when people brag about being "America's Team."

Who. Freaking. Cares.

I'd rather brag about rings, which hopefully happens soon.

I love it.

I love that it enrages other fans.
I love that people, idiots, polls feel it necessary to "slant" a poll to get a different result other than cowboys.
