Waiving injured players

I have a question on the waiving of Brian Price and Marvin Austin. If a team does not put a claim on an injured player do they go to the injured reserve? If they do why don't Price or Austin show up on the Cowboys injured reserve report? Is it possible to try and sign either player if they are healthy or are they done for the year? Thanks guys.

When a player is waived/injured, they become Free Agents. They can't re-signed with the team that waived them for some period of time. I think the number is 8-weeks.
