Having a 12-5 record and losing early in the playoffs is okay, BUT it is NOTHING like winning the Superbowl!

3. Draft a QB with a top 3-5 pick. Groom him to be the starter from day one. Tell Dak he is sitting the bench. He is not playing! Tell him we want to trade him.

4.Fire the Offensive Line coach/ run game coordinator. Our run game is to simple.

5. Draft run stuffing DT’s early and often in the draft.

This team has a lot of talent, but we do have one gaping hole and some smaller holes.
Dak has shown he cannot consistently play well vs good teams. We must pursued him to seek a trade. Again, we need DT’s. I think our O line has the potential to be very good when healthy and the best 5 are on the field. Doodle is a good back, but he needs help. Again, to win Superbowls we need to be physical.

Sacrifice short term success, which will not help us win a Super Bowl, for high draft picks throughout next years draft, which might help us win a Superbowl!

Let's be logical:
  1. Jerry Jones will never sell
  2. Jerry Jones is the final decision maker for selecting a top five pick
  3. Jerry Jones has historically either, a) avoided using a first-round pick on a quarterback; or b) unsuccessfully secured questionable first-round quarterback candidates in the post-Jimmy Johnson era (since 1994)
  4. Wade Phillips is the only head coach (1 out of 8) Jerry Jones fired in-season after Phillips lost the will of his roster
  5. Jerry Jones inserts himself into the hiring process of coaching staff, creating a self-perpetuating logic loop concerning firing coaching staff
  6. Jerry Jones is the final decision maker, who agrees with or overrules the drafting or free agent acquisition of players recommended by his front office staff
Now. Go!

Let's be logical:
  1. Jerry Jones will never sale
Jerry definitely won't, but I'm not sure his other family members will feel the same when he is gone. Jerry loves the limelight and media attention a lot more than the rest of his family.

  1. Wade Phillips is the only head coach (1 out of 8) Jerry Jones fired in-season after Phillips lost the will of his roster
Jerry also had the heir-apparent he already planned to hire on the staff and it was a great opportunity to see how he could do before committing to hiring him as the head coach.

Outside of maybe Al Harris (and he needs some DC experience first), there's no one on the team worthy of even "interim" at this point more so than keeping McCarthy the rest of the season.

I'd love it if the Washington game becomes a win and you are in game. I'd like to see that. I also wouldn't mind if they lost the Bengals game and stayed alive in the Jeanty sweepstakes.

Most of that makes sense but you lost me Jerry Jones is not selling the team that's one that you can count not happening so he's keeping the team in the Jones family will keep the team so that's what you're hoping for you might as well just forget about the rest of your list

let me add the ship is sailed you're saying keep emotions out of it now we already won two games in a row we're probably picking around 15 somewhere in there give or take a little above or below and we'll get very good draft picks there we got CD land we got Trayvon diggs we got Michael Parsons all past that spot so let's calm down on the quarterback saying that's where you lost me are you serious what needs to happen is you don't waste an opportunity to get game changing dynamic players in the first round we're not picking in the top five and even if we were this year I'm not taking a quarterback I'm sorry you need to build around Prescott that's what other teams do the all in teams they put great talent around jalen hurts they put great talent around Brock Purdy they put great talent around tua they put great talent around Jared Goff I mean do I need to go on some of these teams that literally they built their teams into a dynamic team and still are not winning Super Bowls but if that's what it needs to be done you cannot waste a draft pick on a quarterback you need to get picks to build around Prescott 'cause he will be here the next couple of years we're not training him because he has a no trade clause and with a guaranteed contract why would another teams GM give up high draft picks and pay the man's salary if you think he's not a Super Bowl caliber quarterback no what has been shown against good teams is the offensive line fails they don't open holes we have no run blocking we become one-dimensional and we have nobody getting open on time outside of lamb and if you take lamb away we have nothing else that's the problem if you don't see it that way you're one of those you think Prescott can't make it and go to a Super Bowl because of himself no his team is failing him against the better teams I mean where have you been how about the 11 penalties on the offensive line in one of the playoff games how about all the under 3 yards per carry running backs in those playoff games that you're blaming on Prescott we've seen other quarterbacks throw interceptions

like Matthew Stafford led the league in interceptions he had two interceptions in the Super bowl and somehow his team bailed them out and they won you know why they had a better defense a better run game a better offensive line a better defensive line and a better coaching staff that's what we need.. I mean show me these teams taking away Roger and troy's run game and take away a little of their defense and make them penalty prone make them mistake prone and see what happens those guys didn't win anything by themselves they never carried their teams and that is or say a fact they were never asked to they had some of the best run games and best offensive lines very good defenses some were generational and some of the generational coaching Staffs and Jimmy Johnson and Tom Landry so are you kidding me we gotta keep circling back to this Prescott can't do it against good teams Prescott's teams and his coaching Staffs cannot get past the good teams leads us back to the fact that stay in the moment he's under contract So what do we need to do stay away from grooming another quarterback for two years and build the very best team you can possibly build for Prescott... I mean that's a situation Tom Brady came into right I mean you look at that Tampa Bay team all they were needed is a quarterback they had everything else and they got it and then it went away and they got it with Matthew Stafford all in and then it went away there's been some stacked teams get it done and this year it might be the lions but you show me when Prescott's teams look like that top to bottom coaching Staffs all three phases limiting dumb mistakes and penalties you show me Romo or Prescott we can put them both in the conversation they've been lacking that around here...

Please don't bring the response back that you think his mistakes which by the way I looked at those interceptions last year in the Green Bay game you might wanna check again with CD lamb going off script and breaking off his route causing the first one and then the one against cooks where he was interfered with twice in order for that leverage and to get that ball and by the way he was an open well but he could have caught that ball if he wasn't interfered with and no call but let's get back to the real facts you're blaming this on the quarterback and it's not the quarterback

we don't we need to get rid of the quarterback we don't need to waste draft picks on another quarterback we need to have a season like they've given some of these other quarterbacks that's what we need we need some exceptional talent and an exceptional coaching staff that's what we need...

Zimmer is worth it? hes had to do more with less so why not him? he turns the OC to Shot and let AH have the DC light duties get his the experience now.. and keep going .but we missed that boat 2 game win streak etc.. only 5 to go..too late

If we finish 5-12 we have a good shot at a top 5 pick!

The 2 game winning streak is not helpful to our ultimate goal of picking early in every round of next years draft, which gives us a better chance at picking starting caliber players, and winning a Super Bowl in the future.

Regarding your comments about Dak. Dak needs 6-7All Pros around him on offense, a top 3 defense, and great coaching on Offense, Defense and Special Teams for us to have a very slim chance at a Superbowl victory. With Dak making 60 million a year we can’t pay enough good players to accommodate Dak’s HUGE needs!!

The GB game is not the only playoff caliber team Dak has played bad against. Dak consistently plays bad against playoff teams over his career! That is a fact!!

And I'm telling you he didn't play bad he couldn't play better because of the team around him I don't need a reminder I remember almost every game going back to 1981 so I don't need you to help me remember my statement still holds true I remember those games I remember the 11 penalties on the offensive line I remember no run game this wasn't one game it's funny or should I say ironic that's what you thought this happens almost every big game we don't have a run game we don't have a good offensive line we're one-dimensional our guys aren't getting open or we're getting heavily penalized or making dumb mistakes you know like digs on defense in that one game dropped at interception and didn't bother to try to break up a pass on kittles that was one of the San Francisco games but but on the other side of the ball there was no run game the offensive line was not blocking long enough to throw the ball to anybody because they weren't getting open fast enough because there was no separation should we have a talk about that no I don't think you do 'cause I'm telling you if your memory was actually not focused on Prescott you know there was a bunch of problems in those games that cost us a loss and it wasn't Prescott at the top of any of them you got it you can't ask a player like Prescott to function normally when there's players around him sharding in their pants as they say...

I don’t agree with all your points but you make some good ones.
Do you agree we need a top 5 pick to help our chances of wining a Super Bowl?

Do you think winning games this year can effect our chances of picking one of the top QB’s in the draft next year?

Do you think we need a better playoff QB than Dak?

Do you think we need a new HC?

Do you think our biggest need on D is DT’s?

No but it sure would be nice if we talked about Prescott the same way we talked about golf Matthew Stafford his Super Bowl year jalen hurts having AGM that does surround him with that kind of talent sure what are you talking about Prescott you think he's on an island sometimes it's the defense sometimes it's the whole team I'm not having this conversation with you because obviously you're blinded by that hate and don't tell me that I'm like such a Homer I'm blinding by homerism though I can go back to every one of those games and show you why we lost and Prescott so far down the list because he can't run an offense that's apart or keep up with the defense I can't stop anyone it's one thing or another just like Tony Roma you wanna be blamed for some things but hey how about Prescott's rookie year that offense played very well the defense didn't we lost because of Aaron Rodgers and that happened in the Romo game we lost because of Aaron Rodgers but we also lost because Murray fumble the football that he should have had an 80 yard gain on and our wonderful kicker chooses that game to miss 2 kicks I mean I remember these games and we can keep on but you're gonna blame the quarterback then you don't wanna see the truth the truth is you're asking him to play just with a normal team doing good things not needing all pros needing the team he has to play up to their abilities and they do not they also crap the bed bro I saw it I saw the offensive line never really have a big run game in the playoffs or against some of the means we lost you in the regular season there was no run game. You wanna play quarterback when guys are not getting open and there's no run game and they're teeing off on you because they know all they gotta do is play maximum coverage put four guys beating our offensive line stopping the run and putting pressure on the quarterback because they know he's gonna pass because they can't run

these are all facts we have never lost a game directly because of Prescott we lost those games for like 5 other reasons and sure Prescott didn't look great because there wasn't a reason for him to do so he didn't get any help this whole he needs six or seven all pros no what he needs is his team to step up to actually be on par with the other side's coaching staff we're playing checkers where they're playing chess and they're absolutely shutting us down on every level we're getting beat offense defense special teams all of it the coaching is not up to par so you can take that narrative and stuff it you got it..

Jerry definitely won't, but I'm not sure his other family members will feel the same when he is gone. Jerry loves the limelight and media attention a lot more than the rest of his family.
I am willing to accept that observation as a given. Stephen Jones is very often not seen unless his father is present with him. Plus, he seems to only light up at press conferences concerning rodeos hosted at AT&T Stadium. Charlotte Jones Anderson does not overly promote her association with franchise operations outside of Dallas Cowboys branding.

And Jerry Jones Jr.? He has continually demonstrated shying away from the public spotlight practically to the same degree as his father slobs for it. Junior is even less well-known than Cooper Manning of the Archie Manning family.

All that said, ownership will never be predicated upon wanting to be just like daddy with a mic and a camera. My hope is Jones' offspring take the approach of Sam Walton's kids. Namely, get out of the way, hire competent, qualified professionals to run the golden goose, sit back and soak in the billions that will flow without daily interaction.

It is my dream. I hope no one wakes me from it. :) I fear an actual, independent, artificial intelligence version of Jones is hiding in a server somewhere, patiently waiting to replace the flesh-and-blood idiot eventually. Then, my dream would turn into an even worse nightmare. :(
