WAKE UP !!! Logan Mankins....Vincent Jackson....and others that might be available is not going to help this Football Team. What this Team needs is the same thing it needed before last season.....a change in the Coaches. Wade Phillips, Jason Garrett, Houdson Houck, and etc. needs to be replaced. PERIOD. I stated this before the season and was told I'm a fairweather fan. Well hello to the fools that suggested this.....you don't have over 400 yards of Offense and rank 2nd or 3rd in the League Offensively and have a top 10 Defense and tote a 1-3 record...something is wrong with this and what is wrong is called COACHING. This Team is never prepared on a consistent basis. They need a Coach who prepares them each and every week and can get nasty if needed towards the Players. This has been a creampuff situation for several years and I'm tired of everyone stating how talented this Team is too but not be winning. I'm tired of seeing the same silly Coaches being shown with a Confused look on their face rather than a pissed off look.
These Coaches are making the Dallas Cowboys a laughing stock in the NFL and this fairweather fan is tired of it. Jerra do the right thing and can this Coaching Staff. IN a minimum situation fire Wade move Garrett to HC only for the rest of this season as a trial before next year to see how the Team responds to him, if little success than he goes too at end of season. Do it Jerra right now !!!!

Whoa, I'm pretty sure 90% of the people shot down the thread that said we should trade for Mankins.

I also have never seen a thread that said we need Vincent Jackson. Not one.

The point is one Player or two is not going to make a difference when your Coaching sucks not one difference. This Team needs a change in Coaching. We have seen this same crap before but all of a sudden we play a good game and everyone starts looking through Rose Colored Glasses once again. Wade is not what the Dallas Cowboys need as a Headcoach.

actually one player can and would make a difference when you're losing ball games by 7 points, and that player can make critical differences on drives that would otherwise stall.

so you telling me a consistent kicker would not make a differnce

No because the team would still fumble, throw a pic or get a stupid penalty

Right now it is more than just one player it is about the culture of the team. Would it help yes but it doe snot solve the core issue with this team it is always something that they can never overcome. Hell Pitt managed to win with some of the worse starting QB and a oline that is not great

the Cowboys are 1-6 in games where Romo threw over 45 times...and in that one miracle win at Buffalo, he also threw 5 pics...

2010...

48 attempts at Wash...loss...1 td pass no pics which is a remarkable performance for throwing so many times...it won't always happen

51 attempts vs. Chicago...loss...1 td 2 INT...here the odds catch up to Romo and the Receivers...

30 attempts vs. Houston...win...31-6 when Romo throws 20-30 attempts...2 TD no pic...

46 attempts vs. Tenn...loss...1-6 when Romo throws 45+ attempts...3 tds 3 Int...

...throwing >35 attempts exacerbates the problem the line has with blitz pickup and pre-snap penalties/holding...and 75 % of turnovers come in the passing game as YR has observed...today we saw exactly that...tipped balls, pre-snap, holding, dropped balls...

...Romo averaged a very elite 8.83 yds/att [46] but 12-133 in penalties, 3 pics, plus a special teams meltdown, courtesy of the "spike twins", simply could'nt be overcome...the defense settled itself after a dreadful first half but the damage was done...

...we knew that Fisher would have his team ready to ball until the final whistle and it was purely evident from the first series onward...the offense battled valiantly, though carelessly, but could'nt avoid making the final mistake...

...tough, tough loss...if this team gets lambasted in Minnesota next week the season is likely over, considering the difficulty of the remaining schedule and the premature rumors of the demise of the NFC East...

Kangaroo, you are correct...I'm not sure the word is "Culture" but the mindset on this Team is not about Winning at all costs which is a reflection that your Coaching Staff puts you in to win games. Does everyone remember the Players mindsets before Jimmy Johnson became Coach and after. It was the same type of intensity installed in the Players like Buddy Ryan did with his Eagles to whom he brought from the Bears D in 85. Coaching dictates how the Team is mentally prepared. Wade is simply too soft and many of the Players know this and don't play to their ability. They need a Coach that will not put up with inexcusable plays. I'm not 100% sure who this Coach is that thye could hire but I know it's not someone on the current Coaching Staff via Garrett, Campo's and etc.

Vincent Jackson?

First ever 4 wide offense. WIN!

It's been done before. It was called the Run N Shoot.

Do we get a HC to be named later in the trade? A DC? A OC?

Then they aren't going to help. It will be the same dumb team but with new players.

Logan Mankins actually could find a spot on this team if he wants to play RG.

I shot it down before, saying that Mankins wouldn't be here because he wants to start (through a source), but now with Davis' job in jeopardy, perhaps Mankins could find a place here, which would allow us to keep Holland in his now very valuable backup role. He's easily our best backup.

As for Vincent Jackson, I'm not sure why you'd want to take more footballs away from Austin, Williams, and Bryant. Headscratcher right there.
