We literally lost 2 of our top 5 players and our ST captain, K, and all pro return man and 3rd down spark. And we haven't lost them for a few games like Dallas. These are season ending injuries

The comparison to losing Zeke and Sean Lee is you guys losing Wentz and Fletcher Cox. When that happens, get back to me on the comparison.

Stop that. We lost out on some excellent excellent players. An all pro LT, a pro bowl LBer, an All Pro return guy and maybe the best 3rd down back in the league and our ST captain for the year not a few games like you guys. Interestingly we did lose Cox for 2 games on top off all that and still won. Missing Lee and Smith for 2 or 3 games doesn't compare to losing 3 pro bowl guys for the entire season. Your guys are coming back, ours arent.

Its laughable to say "three Pro Bowl" guys talking about Hicks and Sproles. Hicks is only a Pro Bowler in your mind and Sproles is only in the Pro Bowl as specialty back.

If the Eagles could trade every guy you listed for Ezekiel Elliot they would do the trade in a heartbeat.

Wed trade a pro bowl LBER our 2nd best defensive player and an all pro LT for a RB? And again, how can you compare 2 to 3 week injuries to season ending injuries. And Hicks is a phenomenal player.

The excuse making from other Cowboys fans is nauseating.

If this team is as good as some of you wanted to believe this offseason, the entire season shouldn't go in the crapper when you lose a few key players.

Here's the reality some can't grasp. Jones and son and McClay and Garrett have built a flawed team that lacks depth at certain spots and part of that can be traced to a god awful FA plan that saw their three top FAs all leave the team by October. Further, they have a blind faith in a coaching staff that has literally proven nothing other than show that the only way they can win is if the conditions are ideal for them. Once things start to break down around them, they don't have the competency to overcome issues.

The biggest problem far and away on this team is the coaching staff, starting with the red-headed step child. There is talent at all positions on this football team. Garrett is making McClay and company look terrible.

Talent is almost always lost during the course of the NFL season. That is when the coaching staff needs to make their money and mask deficiencies of substitute players, manage the game better, and come up with schemes to bypass those weaknesses. Sure, there are times when this will not work, but this coaching staff has repeatedly shown that it cannot do these things.

I never compared short term injuries to season long injuries, feel free to go back and read my posts.

We are comparing who got hit harder by the injury bug and Philly has been devastated compared to Dallas. Smith, Lee and Zeke are all coming back Pro Bowl returner Sproles, All Pro LT Peters, emerging star LB Hick, ST captain Maragos are all done for the season... bot to mention our K and lost our #1 CB for 9 3/4 games

That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying the Eagles got hit really hard by injury.

Why are you even here and what are you trying to prove exactly?

Go enjoy your teams win and good season and go away.

I mean in all seriousness. If you are here to try and get cowboys fans to bow down to the greatness of the eagles. It’s not gonna happen.

Two more pages of this thread and you will be complaining that Jeff Lurie has a completely different kid valet parking his car this season.

We ate all here to talk about football and when someone said the Cowboys have more key players injured we discussed it. I don't think the Eagles are great and definitely aren't as good as their record so you got the wrong guy.
But... you sound like one of those kids who lost on Nintendo to their best friend and ran to their Mom crying and saying I want him to go home.

You’re expecting objectivity from a rival fan base, when discussing a subjective topic.

Sounds pretty foolish to me. But whatever floats your boat.

It also sounds like you’re really grasping at straws with that attempt at an insult.

Oddly the free agent losses are not the problem.

I don't think we lost any LBs to free agency. I understand OT because Green played well last year and they even kept a backup-backup in Bell which they have not done many years; however, I can't understand LB. In the spring they didn't know if Jaylon could play at all. Lee has always been injury prone. Durant is way overrated by somebody in the organization and was not re-signed until training camp.

What makes it even more odd is that 4-3 LBs are not an expensive position in free agency unless it's a super-elite player.

And they let Gachkar go and Nzeocha walk. Not that either of those guys could play, exactly, but both were options we might have looked at while Jaylon was running around trying to cover people.

They whiffed on the Jaylon Smith analysis somehow, simple as that.

If they were counting on Jaylon in the Spring, then they are morons.

The issue is that Lee and Hitchens projected as starters. It might be a little tricky to sign a backup in free agency.

Zack Brown is the guy they should have signed (1-year, 2.5M).

Brown is exactly the guy I was thinking of. He came available kind of late, but he'd have been a hell of an addition to that inside LB group, and he'd have freed up Jaylon to work his way in gradually. Sign him for two years and bridge the gap if you don't want to pay Hitchens what he's going to get on the market.
