That was a surprisingly entertaining movie considering what it is. Haven't seen Rachel McAdams in awhile...where she go?

Back to the land of inconceivably hot women?

Well, considering she's chained up in my bas...

I want to see Wall-E but every time I see a trailer for it I get pissed off at Pixar for ripping off Johnny Five :(

It's not a rip-off, it's an homage.

I saw Wanted this afternoon. I'd give it a B. It was interesting. The body count was a bit high for my tastes.

You fail at movies!

I think we noticed the same things, but had different reactions to them. You mentioned "Awesome over the top (but not TOO far) violence ...."

For me, the repetitiveness of the highly graphic violence detracted from the film's overall entertainment. There were, what, well over a dozen slow-mo, close-up shots of bullets penetrating foreheads and/or temples?

Note that at least two of these slow-mo shots included forward and reverse action (slow mo bullet impact to forehead, then slow-mo reverse action of bullet leaving forehead ....).

It's not that I'm squeamish - the multiple stabbings/slashings and hundreds of exploding rats didn't bother me.

There were a lot of things to like about the movie - but for me, the repetitive graphic violence took away from some of the movie's more interesting and enjoyable aspects. Which is why I'd give it an overall grade of B.

....about a movie you've admittedly never seen. ;)

That is pretty frustrating and stupid when people think they are entitled to form opinions without even watching something. They can THINK they won't like it, but its completely out of hand to diss someone else's opinions when you yourself haven't even watched it.

Thats assuming he didn't watch it of course.

Ok, well that makes more sense. They could have been more creative with a few deaths, I can go with that.

Some opinions are just worth the ridicule even if they have seen the movie.

A forum, by definition, is for voicing one's opinions; not for trying to silence those who disagree with you.

The point is how can you form an opinion on something you haven't seen?

Putting a million ";) " will not make your post any better or more true. Not sure if you were under that delusion or something seeing as everyone of your post seems to end with that.

I saw Wall-E last weekend, it was phenomenal. After seeing the trailer and reading a few review blurbs I had a certain expectation of what it would be and it was exactly what I expected. The kind of thing you can just get lost in and know you're watching something special. One of the best movies I've seen in awhile. The kind of movie the term "movie magic" is reserved for. I wouldn't have minded them expanding the first part a little showing Wall-E kind of alone with all that loneliness, but it is a kid's movie and you can't make them too long. And might have even been better if Wall-E's..."soul," HADN'T been brought back at the end..but again, it's a kid's movie. Conveying that kind of emotion etc. with almost no dialogue, that's good stuff. Best Pixar movie, although I don't like most of them that much.

The same way you form an opinion of me without ever having met me or knowing anything about me. Or the same way that you make generalizations about me without the benefit of knowing me personally.

I didn't form an opinion of you. I formed an opinion on a statement you made, which I actually SAW WITH MY OWN EYES. Nowhere in any of my posts have I made a statement regarding your personality or characteristics, doing so would be hypocritical considering I have never met you. I merely stated I don't think its right to form an opinion on something without ever seeing it.

It's like never having watched the Boys play, then jumping into a convo with a couple of fans and saying their defense is garbage this year.

Wanted lost some points in my book because of the language. It didnt add anything to the movie, and it made it busch league.

Lamest thing ever that people get upset about. They're just words. See, poop and that word that starts with s. Same exact thing, though the other word is much better because it can be used in so many more ways. The F one is the absolute best in existence when used well. What they add to the movie is realism (not that it's necessary in this movie), most people don't use the word poop, or freakin, or some other lame crap. Especially not in those situations. Wanted gets most of it's points from its violence, language and dark humor.
