Guys thanks for all the info. It's greatly appreciated and keep it coming. My wife is a planning freak. She wants to have every thing down to a science before we go, which I am sure will not go that way perfectly which will in turn freak her out for a moment or two and then she will come to her senses.

But until then she will drive me nuts.

Cajun, I spoke to my former daughter in law this evening and she gave me this info. The company she works for (I thought she had quit but was wrong) was Elite Tours. Here is the website http:www.eliteorlandoviptours.com
She says that she stays quite busy with it and it allows people to get thru the park with ease without much wait. I forgot to ask her if it included multiple parks but I would think that it would.

The thing about Disney is that as soon as you walk in the gate it is a little overwhelming. To have a good plan to know what you want to do would make the day that more enjoyable.

Something else is that with the real estate market the way that it is, you can probably rent a house 20 minutes from Disney for dirt cheap for that week. I know the Davenport area has three to five bedroom homes with pools and spas that rent for a lot less for a week than you what you are going to pay for a hotel room for a day especially on Disney grounds. And you could be at Disneys entrance in 15 minutes from there. If you decide to do that, let me know what develpment you would want to check out. Some "resorts" around here are dumps I would not stay in if they were free so be careful with that.

Disney is west of Orlando, so be sure and stay in or west of Lake Buena Vista. that will avoid most of the bad Orlando traffic. Landrys Seafood is on Lake Buena Vista and is one of our favorite places to eat. The Grand Cypress/Hyatt Hotel is a fabulous hotel that we stay in at least once a year and has the most incredible pool you could imagine. Rooms need a little updating but the ambiance and views of the pool areas are awesome. Staying west of Orlando will also allow you quick access to the Beeline Highway that will allow a quick trip to Cape Canaviral.

Florida is still pretty warm in October so bring plenty of Suntan lotion. You do not want to buy it on the Disney property.

The best roller coasters in Florida are at Busch Garden in Tampa, about 45 minutes west of Disney. You may want to spend a day over there.

Let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best to find out for you.

Thanks for that. I will check them out. It seems like a great idea.

We have been 3 times in 5 years and loved every minute of it.

On our first trip, we spent a day at each theme park. Then on the last day, we went back to the one which we all agreed on which was Magic Kingdom.

Recommendations:

MGM Studios-Must ride "Rock and Rollin' Roller Coaster". Indoor coaster based on AeroSmith. Fast, dark, with plenty of loops and rolls. Also check out "Tower of Terror".

Epcot-Must ride "Soar'n'". This is probably my personnal favorite. Hint, get there and get a Park pass. The lines will be long on this ride.

Animal Kingdom- The rapid rides is probably the best here. The Everest ride was ok, at least to me.

Magic Kingdom- Don't care how old you are, this place will tire you out. Be sure to stay late at least once to see the parade.

Be sure to viist "DownTown Disney". That was a blast.

As for expensive food, eh, not much difference then any other park IMO. I think our last trip was somewhere around $3,800.00 total. But we did not fly, we drove. Just 8 1/2 hours from Charlotte to Orlando.

Just an FYI it is no longer called MGM but Hollywood Studios

My favorite part was Disney Quest, it's a 5 floor arcade where you get unlimited games. Last time we were there was in 99' so I'm not sure if it's still there.

Disney Quest is still there in the Disney Village. I took the grandkids and I thought it was pretty good. INteractive games and rides. I don't know if it was worth the money tho.

Cirque de solais was right next to it and the kids loved that more.

It was worth it for us because we had a park hopper pass for 7 days so everyday after doing the main parks, we would go to Disney Quest every night. It was so much fun.

It hasn't changed in 30 yrs. The rides are terrible. Its wall to wall people w/ nothing but shops. Six Flags in Arlington is ten times better. Save your money . Florida was great for golf though ,the best thing about the trip.

It is there, but they modified it, pulling a lot of the "violence games" in favor of more kid friendly ones.
