Walt Garrison Multiple Sclerosis Foundation

I was doing some reading on some of my favorite Old TV shows and came across an entry on Wikipedia. I was reading about one of the actors that was on Gunsmoke (Buck Taylor). Part of his entry says he lives in Ft Worth and supports the Walt Garrison Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.

I know this is our Walt Garrison because it is also discussed on his entry as well.

Does anyone know if Walt has contracted this disease or someone in his family?
