Walter Nolan Film Review

Why not just have both? Nolan would get a bunch of snaps anyway. It would be like Philadelphia. Jordan Davis doesn't play much on passing downs it's Carter and Williams. Mazi would be Davis in this scenario.
Yup, you are gonna play 2 B gap guys most of the time. On run downs you can sub in Mazi and rotate Osa/Nolen to give them a breather

I think you either take him as 12 or he's gone. Might go to SF right in front of us.

I saw a mock made a lot of sense had John Lynch taking Jalon Walker right in front of Dallas adding an attack Dawg for Saleh

we are missing a pro bowl DT for so long and one will transform this defense,a name to watch at 12.

PFF had him 2nd round which is impossible . Depending on the board at 12 with the impending loss of OSA I had Dallas taking him round one months ago .

Depends on who’available

2nd round is a joke!
He’ll be in top 15 by the draft!
I’d be shocked if the 49ers don’t take him at 11!

Excellent point!
This isn't far-fetched either ......Stephen did say they would look at some Eagles models

With 2-3 high potential DT's in this draft one should fall to us.
Which would make it even more idiotic to draft a RB.

Would love Nolan at #12.

There is going to be some very good players available at 12. 2 or 3 qbs will go ahead of us. There will be at least 1 surprise that we don't like go ahead of us. So, 3 to 4 players that we aren't interested in will go which will drop us some outstanding players to chose from. We should get a 1st round graded player.
at most two QBs though of course you can never discount GM stupidity and QB reaching. Simple fact is this draft is weak in real blue chip talent. a lot of DTs and RBs who will be excellent pros but weak at Tackle and some other positions. The meat of this draft is second and third rd. I would not be averse to trading back and getting more picks threre.

Honestly have we had anyone that was really all that since Ratliff?

Hatcher had a blip of success at DT, but we let him go to the Skins where he never replicated it. IIRC scheme change but chasing money.

After Ratliff and Hatcher was the Rod era of wanting effort over talent. Only wanted unicorns like Vea who of course never fell to us in 2018

At 12?
No way, really??
A first round graded player all the way down at 12

Your posts are getting more and more comical by the day

Hatcher had a good contract year. and that was pretty much it. Always suspicious of players who shine in that particular year and never do much before.

Rod era is coming back with Eberflus

Line up and “win”

There are around 14 1st round graded players. They certainly can get one at 12. You can't be that dumb.

With Hatcher, it was Dallas first year in the 4-3 as the 3tech when he blew up. Previously Dallas was in the Parcells/Wade/Ryan variations of the 3-4.
When he went to Washington, he went back to the 3-4 end.
And he started to have knee injuries and surgeries.

Hopefully this time with actual talent, at least.

I have Harmon as my #2…and I don’t see much different from him and Graham to be honest.
Harmon and Nolen are neck and neck to. Comes down to flavor. Harmon is a gap versatile in the Muhammad Wilkerson vein and Nolen is a pure B gap player. I lean Harmon, but Id be happy with either

He was a decent role player in the 3-4 as a pressure 5T, but couldn't hold up against the run well enough to beat out Spears
