Now that is just a great point.

If there is one team in the NFL that doesn't need to show their cards in the preseason it's Belichek, Brady, and the Pats not the Skins.
 
I give Cerrato a pass as a personnel guy because of O' Danny Boy, St. Gibbs. He pretty much does what they want and how can you evaluate talent when your first pick is in the high 100's.

I got a kick out of reading the Wash Post today. Saunders was protesting that his "real" offense is only being tested in practice, and that it is high-powered, high-octane, and focused on exploiting mismatches.

I couldn't help but laugh at the idea of exploiting mismatches during a practice against your own defense. Similarly, maybe they seem high-octane going against the scout defense.

he basically says that it's not that they don't value draft picks but why worry about the draft and the unknown when you can use those picks to go pick up the "known" in free agency.

What is more relevant, MB, to this season? A preseason game, with this year's rosters and coaching staffs.....

or.....

a butt-whooping down the stretch last season?

I guess when you have no leg to stand on, you could do worse than make absolutely no sense.
 
I live in the DC area unless Danny took them to hell it hasn't been that hot here. Everyone is on the bandwagon about the not showing anything to the NFL, but they all forget Al is running the same offense he ran in KC so the personnel changed but the formations are probably very similar.


Oh yeah Commanders fans the Cowboys have been tying the OL shoes together so the NFL won't be prepared for the true Dallas OL. And we let you guys win those 2 games last year because we got tired of winning.

Errr, well, depends on the subject. We haven't been a very good football team for a few years. Other than our dominance of the Skins (yes, yes, until last year), we haven't had much of a leg to stand on.

Sorry, just didn't want to play the homer card quite yet.
