Watch the Bears Eagles game tonight and the intensity just jumps out at you. The same for tomorrows game as well between the Steelers and the Ravens.

Will we ever see that kind of defense here again. I'm tired of soft tackling teams.:banghead:

Bump.

The OP was concise yet very insightful. The Cowboys defense seems to have a troubling penchant for arm tackling.

We saw how well the Eagles defense "tackled" a couple of weeks ago.

Hate to open this can of worms again but maybe if they actually allowed tackling and hitting in practice they'd know how to do it on gameday :bang2:

Two weeks ago before the Packers game, they aired the 1995 NFC Championship game when we beat the Pack on NFLN.

Now that was a defense that gave you goosebumps. Everyone pursued, and nobody gave an inch. Guys like Woody, Haley, Russell Maryland, Leon Lett, and Larry Brown would sacrifice their bodies play after play even if they didn't make the tackle. Even roleplayers like Bill Bates and Scott Case were out there putting it all on the line every single snap. The nostalgia was almost too much for the heart to bear.

Someone needs to put a video of that on in the clubhouse and tell the defense "this is how you play".

Same defence the Dallas score 41pts against. The same defence that let B.Griese beat them.

It still amazes me that Romo wasn't sacked in that game. Amazing stat for our O-line.
