I know they're statistically good but I think we would have our way with them mainly their secondary.

They have a good defense but their offense has been stuck in second gear all year.

I worry about the Lions based purely on the fact of what they've done to us the last 2 times we've played them...

But yes, a murderers row of opponents coming up for us for sure... unless we're fortunate enough to get a bye. But if we're truly great this season, then we'll have to beat great teams in the playoffs.

For some reason, I can picture a Cowboys/Steelers Super Bowl this year... the rivalry reborn once again.

We're better

I believe so too. A couple of people have pointed out the last 2 games we played them and we were pretty the better team in both matchups. We just had inept coaching, defense and mistakes(penalties, INTs) that killed us in both games. This team I believe won't let that happen if we play them again. I also believe the Lions have faced some mediocre QBs, teams. The only good offenses that they've played Atl, NE, GB. They played GB early in the season when they were still working through some issues and Atl and NE were able to move the ball and score on them.

Don't forget QB play when listing negatives from those 2 games.

Seattle, Denver, New England

There the only teams that can beat the cowboys. If the Cowboys defense hold up, I think only Seattle can beat them!

I don't even think those teams can beat the Cowboys. I really feel like we can beat anybody. As for Seattle I look the replay of our game against them and man do they struggle to score points and move the ball. I know people are being sucked in by how they are playing right now but they still only score off some broken play that Wilson makes or a long run by Lynch or on a turnover. They couldn't score or move the ball against us because everyone held their positions and didn't sell out to try to stop Wilson and get pull in and leave someone down the field like that Luke Willson. The Cowboys also aren't afraid of them or any other team for that matter.

Seattle struggles with teams that play physical football. Denver and Green Bay are finesse teams. Basically Seattle got a taste of their own medicine when they played the Cowboys.

We win the game if 2 things happen. Oscan and a safety effectively double Megatron, and if Suh (who I hope is a Cowboy next year) doesn't hit Romo

Suh will need doubling at least at times. We've been killed in the middle. One of the problems playing Cover 2 are the multiple holes over the CBs and LBers. Teams are rotating out of it presnap into a Cover 1/hybrid/robber or Nickel of some type. I know Marinelli isn't playing a great deal of Cover two these last two years.

I don't know how up tempo Det is but I assume we can substitute freely. Does anyone know what we're doing in our 'base' defenses? Just a short list.

Pretty much. Green Bay and Denver are not only finesse but they seem to get psyched out before the game even starts with them. The Cowboys surprisingly blocked all that nonsense out and just play their game. That's part of the things with Seattle. They like to get in your head with the crowd and weather and some of their players before the game starts.

Their DL is no joke. Probably the best in the league right now. That's why they force so many turnovers, because their LB's are secondary are pretty meh.

And they always have Megatron.

Their offense has been pretty bad though. All the NFC teams are pretty good outside the NFC South winner. It's going to be a battle but I like our chances against Detroit over Green Bay. If Rodgers turns it on against us, it's going to be a long game for the defense.

Agreed. The scoreboard was no indicator of how that game was played that day. Cowboys went into their house with no fear.

Also, I've noticed talking heads mention their defense was in a slump early in the year. Complete ********. Murray was the first hundred yard rusher they had allowed all year and in forever. Most were held below 40 yards! They got punched in the mouth.

I'm not sold on Stafford and that offense. They are so mistake prone. Even the day Megatron had 300 yards on the Cowboys, he fumbled a few times. His fumbles are why the game was as close as it was.

Now is when our defense needs to step up and make stops, our offense probably will not be able to protect them as much playing against these playoff quality defenses.

I have watched Detroit all year long and they are very beatable. They looked like crap in their last 2 games. They could barely beat the Vikings and almost lost to the Bears in their last 2 games. GB is about to own them on Sunday and we are going to beat them the following weekend. We have historically played wel against them, we just choked the games away with bad coaching, playcalling, and defense. We are a much better team now.

They are a talented but sloppy team. They make mistakes far too often.
