Job Qualifications: Six Feet tall, 250 lbs, not afraid to take on 300 lb Defensive lineman, can put up with a boss that really doesn't want you here, and can catch a occasional screen pass. If you meet these qualifications call
Julius Jones or Marion BarberIII or Tyson Thompson at Valley Ranch for a confidential interview.

I have your solution:

Convert Al Johnson to a Fullback. He is too small to play center as a full time starter . Given the angle advantage he would have from blocking from the backfield he would be more effective than as a lineman. Keep him on the team as a converted fullback and backup (emergency) center.

Yeah, and lets make Larry Allen our new shutdown FS...ANY receiver would be afraid of a huge guy coming at them at full speed (3 mph) :lmao2:

We definitely need to replace Polite. I'd love to see us get Mack Strong or maybe fred beasley, or draft a guy in the draft like Bernstein in the 6th or 7th rd who is huge and can really pave the way.

Wanted: Fans to be realistic with their expectations and have some patience with the players we already have.

Polite is fine. He's played one year. What do you say we see how well he's improved, huh?

Not even Moose Johnston was great his first couple of years.

Totally agree with you. But Big Bill wants somebody that Blocks, plays special
teams and catches the ball out of the backfield. Not to many fit that mold.

I want Matt Bernstein in the 6th or 7th as well. In fact he is first on my want list in those rounds. Can block, run, and catch. 6'2" about 265.

i can deal without the screen pass. that needs to be taken out of the playbook.

Man, I would love to get the personell in here to run this play.

My hope is one day we make the Halfback Screen pass and the Wide Receiver Slip Screen pass part of our normal attack.

Barber has above average hands and would be a that much more difficult to defend if the Screen Pass was implemented into this offense.

What good offenses in the league don't effectively run the screen pass?
