I noticed not alot was made of Heinz Wards hamstring issue that has kept him out of action. He even said it was just preseason, like who cares?

Appearently, it's only a big issue with TO. Ward even said he either wanted to or did try the hyperbolic chamber that TO used, hoping it made a difference.

I thought it was funny that the announcers then agreed it's best to be on the safe side and rest it. For this guy anyways.......

Steve Smith too.

It's TO's own fault he's the lightning rod that he is.

In fairness to the Leering Press; Ward and Smith have been with their teams and coaches for awhile so they have some history and some trust built up there. Owens has no history with Parcells and what history he has elsewhere is not good. And really...who actually Trusts Owens?

Ward called up TO for advice about the hyperbaric chamber, and Ward has been sleeping in it (he said he slept in it last night for the first time).

I have no problem with anyone not liking or trusting Owens, thats a bed of his own making. But I for the life of me can't draw the correlation between his being an a-hole and him faking an injury so he doesnt have to train hard. His work ethic has never been the problem ... ever. That's where the press has some explaining to do.

You have a point but...

Can anyone show me proof of anything controversial coming out of the mouths of TO or Parcells about his injury?

This is the media hyping something that is not there.

Because it is TO I guess we should expect this kind of thing but the media has really opened my eyes this training camp.

People who do not listen to Parcells press conferences everyday probably believe everything ESPN is shelling out.

Owens has come out with a couple of pretty provocative statements...nothing that can't be ignored by Parcells yet but he is getting more and more mouthy.

And no I can't give you a link...I heard them on the radio.

And yes that's the other thing .... story manufacturing instead of the reporting of a story. It's how the modern media works these days though. I'm not sure it's something I can get used to or accept.
