don't ever compare michael irvin to these losers. i don't care if you're trying to make a point, that's blasphemy.

Of course. Since Irvin blows up your example of "you are the company you keep" then he shouldn't be mentioned. Irvin was great. He didn't keep great company. Easy point.

I think it's cool that Ware still hangs with Bradie James, and even cooler Akin Ayodele.

I still see it the same way with a twist: Irvin hung with alphas (albeit criminal at times) while Ware doesn't...love Ware(time to move) but the attitude/leadership impact on their teams isn't comparable. Not saying Dallas should be the haven for troubled players, but a few more alpha personalities wouldn't be a bad idea for this team (Dez?)...to counterbalance the country club atmosphere.

Alpha Males @ Valley Ranch.....would be like finding a sasquatch. There rumored to be there...but really hard to find.

Great to hear, the guy wasn't healthy enough to get anywhere near a qb this year, but has no problem going down the ski slopes.

I have no issue with players vacationing in the off season, but I'm not sure I want them skiing. It's extremely easy to get seriously injured.

Yeah. like skiing is soooo hard! I ski here in Utah and 5 or 6 year old kids pass me by without using poles.

I had more serious injuries skiing , than I did playing 7 years of organized football, including a year of college ball.

That is true. Skiing can be harmful in a BIG way. But, I doubt Ware and those others are what you would call great at skiing. They are probably on the bunny slope. lol

Well what if they accidentally go straight to double black diamond?

Bunny slopes for the win and if I am feeling gutsy, I will venture on to a green one

I can't seem to master how to stop except for the snow plow and that doesn't work past green slopes. My cousin(an excellent skier but not so much snow-boarding) thought he would be funny and takes us up to a black diamond(didn't know any better at the time) at Red Mountain Resort in Canada.

There is no turning back when we hit the turn to exit and it drops straight off.....if ya miss to the left, off the mountain you go :(
So, I scooted and crawled down with my skis in hand while he did the same with his board. Took us almost three hours to get down and I was beyond steamed!

The reality is that this is simply a job for most players and that fans take losses much harder than the players do.

That's sad about the fans though, not the players. You can be a diehard fan of a team and still treat it as entertainment at its core.

There is a slope in Albuquerque...I forgot the name since I have not been there since 1985, but once you are at the top and ready to get off the chair, down you freaking go! All I could do to save myself was to snow plow back and forth, back and forth, back and forth until I could level out.

But, the worse accident I got into was on a toboggan with a friend of mine. We thought we could go down this hill (not really a ski run), and he was in front and I was sitting behind him. We took off and Horn (his name) could not get us stopped and we hit a tree stump head on! I flew over the top of him and landed in a little stream of water, and he was about 15 yards away laying in the snow.

After the ambulance came and got us, I had a badly sprained left knee, but Horn had 4 broken ribs and a bruised liver.
Horn was hospitalized, and the docs put a cast on my left leg. However, I did not want the cast on because I was going on a date with a girl that I wanted soooo bad two day after the accident.

Well, I did go to the party to meet her and I got there early before she did. I did not want her to see me in the cast...so, I had some friends of mine get some pliers and some sort of cutters to take the cast off of me! I was alright, but my left knee was sore as hell!

The girl never showed up...
