This may be an ignorant thought but how would he do at OLB in this 4-3? I'm not proposing an offseason change but maybe more of a desperation move for these last 2 games. We could plug in any of the number of street scrubs we have signed to play DE in his spot and they probably would not do much worse rushing the QB. On the upside, he would stiffen up the run defense and would probably be excellent in blitz packages up the middle. He has experience dropping into coverage in the 3-4 and if Wilber can do it why not Ware? Flame away...

Ware is still very good against the run as long as he just works to set the edge and doesn't blow himself out of position. You'd be attempting to fill one whole but just making another one. Not a bad idea, but not a very practical one, imo.

Unfortunately that happens far too often.

I actually don't hate this idea. There's about 1% chance of it happening, but not a bad idea at all

Think this could work in certain situations. He could be the stand up dlineman on third down passing situations.

The difference between a 3-4 olb and a 4-3 olb is night and day. 4-3 olbs are asked to play more sideline to sideline and play run gap responsibilities. They also tend to be more fluid and faster than 3-4 olbs because they're asked to play A LOT more coverage. For a guy like demarcus ware whose calling card throughout his career has been to simply rush the passer, moving him to 4-3 olb makes him even more of a liability than he is right now.
