In Ware I see a player is on his last leg. The burst is gone. Injuries and age is catching up with him.
With no backup player on this team and JJ inability to draft... the defense will be even worse next year.
As a Dallas fan I really hate to see how this team may look next year. There is a good chance a new Head Coach will be here. Which means the currents players will have to learn a new system all over again.
U guys know that is playing with mult injuries right now?
That's the problem he can't stay healthy anymore. He played with injuries last year. He's had problems with neck burners/strains and it's affecting his performance.
Like I said in the game thread....................he either is significantly hurt or he is just done...............I think he got 1 pressure today and that was it.
He clearly is not the same player he used to be. Maybe it is the neck/nerve injuries or maybe it is just wear and tear, but he is not the same player that used to dominate play in and play out.
And even an ailing with one foot in deaths door Ware still put up more sacks than a beasting and healthy Anthony Spencer (11.5 vs 11). The expectations around here are almost as unrealistic and appalling as the ingratitude.
Get rid of Ware, even now, and Dallas' pass rush will get worse, not better. That is a fact.
A lot of great Cowboys have hit the wall at age 30... Irvin and Aikman being the most recent. I think maybe Aikman decline started at 29.

Injured and seemingly unproductive (yet still leads team in sacks) for less than quarter of a season and the lynch mob is in full force. Get rid of Ware, even now, and Dallas' pass rush will get worse, not better. That is a fact.
Haha, no. Watch him like the rest of the play doesn't matter. You should be doing this when you rewatch the game because you will miss the overall play otherwise. Who is the first DL up the field most of the time? Does he get pushed around? Does he push other people around? Compare him to other players on the DL. IDGAF about the average "I watched him a couple times and he didn't get a sack when the QB released the ball in 2.05 and 2.27 seconds." reviews.
All that is different is he's getting plays off. His speed and power are still evident; like the 2nd and 20 7:42 1st Q. He takes care of his gap (outside contain), pushes the LT inside with one hand forcing the RB to cut in the backfield, then is fast enough to chase down the RB from behind when the rest of the defense all get blocked out of the play. It's still all there.
This is a random play from early last week (I think the 2nd, so really early):
That's a pass released in 2.02 seconds and Ware is in the QB's space. If the coverage forces the QB to hold it longer than to finish drop -> release pass, the QB is scrambling or is sacked.

Like it or not, he is a part of the reason that they haven't gotten there. He's been 1/11 of some awful, awful defenses. What is sad is what the boys have done with him, this great player and he has not even come close to a SB, Jerry should be ashamed of himself
If anything, the switch to the 43 should help him.I think a lot of people are forgetting were in a new 4-3 scheme this year. May have something to do with it.
